My Team would consist of:
Flygon
Ampharos
Reuniclus
Milotic
Porygon-Z
Chandelure

Of course, I'm definatley more of a non-legendary person.
Hey you're new! Welcome! avoid the basement yadda yadda... May I ask why porygon-2? Most people I know think porygon and p2 are stupid looking

[sub][sub][sub] I like how he looks though :([/sub][/sub][/sub]
He said Porygon-Z, that's the third form that came about in the 4th generation.

Anyway...not just considering raw strength (becauselolnoobswithfulllegendaryteamsonline)

Electabuzz
Leafeon
Typhlosion
Honchkrow
Druddigon
Heracross

I just like these guys. And they're good. So, win-win. I choose Electabuzz over Electivire because I don't like the way Electivire looks. He reminds me of the Pokemon equivalent of a guy in a gorilla suit.

Charizard
Alakazam
Golem
Gengar
Gyrados
Machamp

There probably my 6 favourite Pokemon, I really like Mewtwo but I'd rather have Alakazam.

Holy random deity! This is a necro if I ever saw one!

*ahem*, Anyway, to the topic at hand... My Pokemon Dream Team consists of Pokemon that I actually like, not for their stats or combat efficiency (You know, the reason that retard by the name of Ash Ketchum refuses to buy a Thunderstone already). So, without legendaries, here goes:

Bannette (My favorite Pokemon for a reason I don't know myself.)
Metagross (A walking, not to mention psychic tank)
Ninetales (Majestically Awesome)
Weavile (Like it for no particular reason.)
Golurk (Transform and Roll Out!(The thing can friggin' FLY for crying out loud!))
Skarmory (An iron clad bird that shoots spikes.)

I think I actually covered every Generation :D

Of course it is all just preference, I still like Pokemon games and do find battles with tough opponents still exciting (mainly if we are equal in level) and I might give em another go (I loved all the other games, but got a bit bored of Black)

The slower combat does make for good tension in big fights, but for wild encounters you can kill in half a second, it get's a bit tedious. The biggest bother is how the text boxes have to tell you everything you already know, such as getting buffeted by a sandstorm each round, if it is super effective or not (I find a "Weak" or "Resist" appearing over the enemy as soon as the attack connects to be more effective but that's just my opinion) how it has to do a Pokemon roar (or cry as the game puts it) or how long it takes to switch Pokemon, easily minor problems but quite consistent.

I still love exploring the world and thwarting the plans of the next team that comes up and I might pick up Black 2 one day (I heard you can get all your Pokemon from Soul Silver into Black 2, that is a plus)
I agree with everything this dear sir has stated above. The weather conditions and status problems between turns in particular can be really agitating if you're in for a long battle. I wish it could be more compact, quicker. Maybe have a battle log you can access in fight so you can see in detail what happens.

My dream team will always be my favourite Pokemon.

- Ninetales
- Persian (my spirit Pokemon!)
- Umbreon or Espeon
- Lapras or Tentacruel
- Meganium
- Butterfree or Pigeotto

A good trainer wins with their favourites. The problem is, I have a lot of favourites!

My team at the moment is
1. Charizard
2. Blaziken
3. Riachu
4. Nidoking
5. Samurott
6. Steelix

I'll substitute Samurott for Blastiose When I get it, and I would love to fit a Snorlax into the mix or my Butterfree.

I have heartgold, black, white, black 2

Everyone hates Flareon because it doesn't have the best stats
Well, it's problems lie not in the stats. With over 100 in attack and special defense it could be a decent defensive poke that could also leash out damage.

Could.

The best physical STAB it learns is friggin Fire Fang. The best physical moves (not counting Giga Impact because reasons) it learns are Strength and Dig. Well, and Superpower with the new tutors. But that is still a very small movepool for a physical attacker. Fire Fang for STAB and Superpower...

And the typing is not the best for a defensive type being weak to EQ and 2x for Rock (Stealth Rocks, the best move in the game). And again, the movepool for a decent defensive set is lacking.
Back in the days of the original Gold version, my Flareon had the moves:

Body Slam: Decent attack power and it can paralyze
Flamethrower: Good fire attack with good accuracy
Fire Blast: For when I wanted more power, though lower accuracy
Quick Attack: For one last hit before it got knocked out.

Keep in mind this was well before moves like fire fang and stealth rock even existed. (to this day I have yet to ever use stealth rock or even have a pokemon that knows the move. I've played every version set to date so its not like I haven't had the chance either)

I use pokemon I like, not what are the best with moves/stats. I take the pokemon I like and find a way to make them be able to win against whatever comes my way. I have yet to fail in that regard so I must be doing it right. :D

Unfortunately my main team in black 2 hasn't even begun to form yet, I'm still breeding mass amounts of eevee looking for the best ones to be my flareon and jolteon.

Flareon still has solid special attack, with Overheat or Fire Blast it can knock through stuff with decent special defence without much trouble. It's only real downside is it's speed, but if it can sponge some special attacks Flame Charge can alleviate that.

My current team is usually my dream team. In Black 2 I'm rolling with Serperior, Keldeo, Ninetales, Ampharos, Grumpig and Lopunny. Keeping it nice and feminine.

All I wanted to do was explaining what the problem of Flareon on a mechanical level is.
Nothing wrong with that, what you say is true anyway. I like to find ways around the issues certain pokemon may have. My team was designed to work as a team, none of them could truly carry everything themselves. Even if the pokemon was weak and almost always down in 1 hit, it still had a role to play. Actually going down in 1 hit was indeed what I planned at least 1 of my party to do, as all it needed to do was get 1 hit off for its job to be done. I also tend to never switch pokemon when my opponent tries to make me with status effects because I know that's what they want me to do.

My battling style is rather odd at times. :D

In Black 2 I'm possibly going for an all Eevee team, though I'm not sure which evolutions to use quite yet. Ideas?

Captcha: cut the mustard. Yes captcha, Flareon can if used properly.
