I tend to use parantheses a lot(I have a lot of side thoughts, what can I say).

I edit if I see something wrong, I reply to quoters who don't seem to get my point, I will also get into a war of words if provoked.

I correct while I type and have an American spell checker (which cannot compete with my lexicon nor crazy Canadian ways) that I rarely use. I also read things a few times while I'm typing to get a nice rhythm down, and make sure I'm clear. To this day, I think I've only once edited a post to correct spelling or grammar.

When it comes to stickin' around or taking off, it depends. Most of the time I take off as I'm really only on to exchange messages, but if I've started a thread or said something lengthy/controversial I'll check back on it every once and a while. Quoting duels obviously have a whole league of their own, the bastards.

I type, then preview. I can only ever see mistakes or anything when I've either previewed it, or I've posted it. If I've said anything vaguely important, I check back to see if it has been noticed or not.

I only really use a spell checking program when I'm making an epic RP post or making a rant about some such. I haven't made a single post in Featured Content as of yet, and have migrated largely from Gaming Discussion to the RP or Off-Topic sections.

I think before i type. Usually have a pretty good idea what i'm going to say before typing, and i'm pretty eloquent so little revision is required. Might change if i'm posting at some late hour though.

Well I don't know about all you fellows, but I can type rather well with my nose.

Of course typing like that all the time would take ages and probably end up hurting my neck since every time I hit a letter I have to look up to see I hit the right one.

I think I do alright in the "attempting to spell words without checking a dictionary" department. On top of that I will usually make sure I haven't made any hilarious spelling mistakes, but I quite often forget and end up with words like Anthropod (instead of Arthropod) and Hermacules (Instead of Heracles... Yeah, I don't know how that happened)

And now that I've finished typing I think I'll click my "ABC check" button...
In this case, apart from Anthropod and Hermacules, I made no mistakes, but I guarantee you that if I hadn't planned to check, I would have made a serious error somewhere and missed it.

I write out a post think about it then delete because I think it would make me look like a jackass

I write my posts very closely. I spell check as I go, so I tend to be slow with my posts (though I recently installed a spell checker add-on for Firefox, so I don't have to worry!). More or less I refresh when I remember, so roughly...ten minutes between refreshes? The way I see it, if someone wanted to have a sustained conversation with me, they'd send a message.

I do check the threads I post in though far more often than usual since I only post in threads I'm actually interested in.

That's actually what I do 50% of the time.

Other times I'll post something and continue browsing for about 5 seconds until I realize that my post was complete crap. Then I'll make a futile attempt to cover up my own stupidity.

*EDIT*
Sorry for the crap post. I was drinking when I wrote this, so hopefully you can forgive these wretched words.

Well, lets just say that it's uncommon for me to leave a post as it is after posting it.

It IS common however, for me to edit it about 3-10 times, to alter a slightly misspelt word (usually American-English to English-English), remove/add in a single word to fit grammar/logic better, add in a few bits onto the end of a sentence to explain it better...etcetc.

I do use the Preview button frequently (I especially love the auto-update with this feature as you type), however I still miss things. Badly. Especially L's, as my L key is iffy on my keyboard, and I can't be bothered to buy a new one just yet.

I too do this. Alcohol-induced randomness has frequently inundated my posts with pointless dithering and irrefutably pointless long words.

(EDIT 2:)
I had to replace a hell of a lot of missing L's there. Damn keyboard.

the only thing that really bothers me is grammar, I try to make sure my posts make sense, but I kinda disregard punctation. I respond quickly and throw it out there so I can keep up with the conversation. I don't usually stick aroud the thread and only come back if i'm quoted.

I'm pretty confident in my spelling and grammar, so unless it's a word I'm not 100% sure of, I don't bother to check beyond a quick once-over before posting. I'll often edit my posts a few times to add or reword a few sentences.

I tend to be rather reserved with my comments, which is why I am not yet gonzo, though I have been around longer than Graustein ^. I usually move on and try to find another topic, and respond to quotes.

I always spell check, well, Chrome does.
If I use spoilers, pictures, links etc. then preview is open.
If the thread I'm posting in is really interesting to me or if I have quoted/been quoted, I tend to stick around.
I also start each new sentence on a new line, unless it's a really long post, then I use paragraphs.

I'm pretty good with my spelling, but I always spell check my posts and make sure they make sense.
I have a new keyboard and I'm not used to it, because it's flat and the keys are smaller. I keep hitting cruise control when I mean 'a' so I raNDOMLY START talking like that.

I write here as I do whenever I write, and edit/check as I go along (this makes my handwritten stuff particularly hard to read).

I'm pretty good at the whole 'dictionary spelling without a dictionary' [small](and the modesty too)[/small], so I usually end up correcting typos (and there are a lot of those...)

I pretty much do what I want, and then leave it alone, hoping it makes sense to someone.

I go over my grammar. (Spelling is handled by Chrome.)
If I use some spoiler tags, image tags, or text alterations, I double check them to make sure they're okay.
Also, I tend to make new lines for each sentence.
Like this.
And that.
