I've just put an extra fan to help the flow of in my PC, but it's pretty noisy, and thus I only want it turned when gaming. Since I don't want to open up my PC every time I need it I thought of putting a switch on to make it easier. The question then is: Do I have to turn my computer off to switch on the fan?
The fan is a pretty basic, 8cm in diameter 5volt powered by a 4-pin molex.
