My facebook personalized ads recently updated me that I could buy sunglasses that are designed to decrease eye strain and glare, and improve color contrast. At first, I thought about how my eyes haven't strained while playing games in years and I usually sit a foot from the screen, maybe its just a side effect of growing up with a gameboy in one hand and a gamecube controller in the other, however improved contrast did sound interesting. Now, of course these things are pretty pricey so I'm not gonna get a pair, but I want to know what the Escapists' opinion of them are.

I wouldn't buy them simply on the grounds that everyone modelling them on that site seems to be gaining roughly 20+ douche points from them alone.

I think I'd feel like an absolute tool, if I'm going to be spending that much money on what are basically sunglasses with anti-glare coating, I don't want to look like a complete dickhead for it.

Seems like an utter waste of money to me.
