Predictions Thread

Exactly what it says on the tin; make predictions about the future so you can brag about how right you were when you turn out to be right on the money, because everyone knows there's no point in being right about something unless people on the internet know about it. That's how you get experience points, after all.

These predictions can be about ANYTHING whatsoever, from what will happen next on a TV show, to how a celebrity's career will flame out, to whether Half-Life Episode 3 will actually come out, to what will happen in the next few days on this very forum, or even just what will be on your next sandwich. Be as silly as you want with them.

My predictions? I'm calling Mariah as the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race 3. Raja will come in second.

I predict that Madonna will pull a Cher and spend the next twenty years doing, "No, really, I'm retiring for serious this time" tours around the world.

I predict that the next Call Of Duty will be the highest selling game of all time, and nearly every user here will buy it, but these same people will claim that they don't like it, be mad at other people for buying it, and proceed to say that they knew it was going to suck because they never liked any CoD games after 2. This game will then be called the WORST GAME EVAR by many many members. Including myself. =P

I also predict that in the next few days, Gaming Discussion will have several new threads from new members with the following titles, "I don't like Mass Effect, and you shouldn't either," "Why Dragon Age: Origins Sucks," "Why does everyone hate my favourite Final Fantasy?" and "People always say Half-Life is good but I hated it".

Those are my predictions. How am I doing so far? Show me your foresight skills.

Within the next week someone will pose a "Recommend me an anime" thread (this prediction stands for any week that the escapist is here).

'Resident Evil Six' will be better than five but not as good as four.

That the world will not end in 2012 or 2020. That Portal 2 WILL be released on time in April. Bulletstorm will lead the charge of over the top shooters and rival realistic shooters. Duke Nuke'm Forever will be worth the wait and cure all types of cancer. And Mass Effect 3 will have no NPC diddling and be the best RPG of all time!

I predict that 4Kids will go bankrupt, causing all the good little shows to be set free, and go back to their original owners (mainly, this applies to Yu-Gi-Oh!, I miss the days when they weren't riding on light cycles.)

I predict that we will get a new pokemon game that will use real world locations, and may or may not actually let us use REAL pokemon (my little nerd fantasy, owning an Eevee)

I predict that WoW will be free, and will be downloadable, and Blizzard will have finally made Starcraft: Ghost.

I further predict that my mind will be blown by this game. See, I'm a GTA virgin, I have never played a single minute of GTA in the 21 years of my life.

Hilary Clinton will run as a republican and win the presidency.

Egypt starts a civil war.

Somalia because a major manufacturer of mechanical pencils.

Pirates of the Caribbean will have 8 movies in total.

Another Titanic movie will be made.

I predict that many many many many people will be probated, suspended or banned this coming March. ...is this too obvious? XD

Seriously now, though.

TES V: Skyrim will be too easy, too hard, crap, buggy, crap and buggy or the greatest thing in the world, better then negligee's, sliced bread and kittens.
DA2 will receive a meh reaction from people here. Then they'll complain about the combat.
People will ***** about the next CoD for being too gray/brown/gray brown.
We will still debate which is better between consoles, PC's and handhelds and we will soon realise no one cares.

As for celebs, footballers will be shocked when they are given pay cuts. (I CAN DREAM, DAMMIT!) Madonna will reveal she has found the Fountain of Youth, Justin Beiber will move into Death Metal and become loved, Hannah Montana will appear on a reality TV show, we will finally find out who/what killed Micheal Jackson, New Stig on Top Gear will be revealed to actually be a 89 year old from Papa New Guinea with no eyes and a dicky hip, a new season of Scrubs will be announced with all the original cast members and John C. McGinley will fly to my house, hold me in his manly arms and *CENSORED FOR THE CHILDREN*

Oh, and Final Fantasy will actually become Final and be retired, along with Activision announcing CoD will be taking a 5 year hiatus. Before bringing out 7 games the week before it goes to bed.

Charlie Sheen will literally kill someone. He will pleed innocent, continue to film his shitty sitcom. It will stay on the air for years to come.

The Last Guardian's gryphin thingy will NOT die, just to throw everyone off.

Bobby Kotik will dissappear completely up his own asshole. Sunshine and happiness reigns for the next millenium.

Nintendo will reveal a new console that is basically just magic. 4 years later, Microsoft and Sony reveal their own version of magi, but refer to it as "wizardry" or "sorcery" or some other synonym. They then act like they invented magic.

One sequel later, Valve enventually decides on making Left 4 Dead 4. The development team spontaniously combust as they attempt to think of a less stupid name.

Ruby and Sapphire remakes are released, Mudkipz make a comback, sell merchandise.
