According to their FAQ they only ship to the US and Canada.

This makes me somewhat sad, until I remember that I have a reasonably prices, relatively local provider of all my sharp and pointy needs here [http://globalgear.com.au/].

Remember, kids, two words that are important when it comes to "replica" swords and other such weaponry:

FULL TANG

Be wary of half-tang and run away from stub-tang if you're going to do anything more than hang the thing from a wall or put it on a stand.

Also, the theme combined with this post reminds of how my hatred for Max Brooks was sealed- the day I watched a video of him walking onto a stage and claiming that a katana was the best weapon to have in a zombie apocalypse. Yeaaaaaah no. It's useful for cutting off heads, sure, but absolutely nothing else- and since the zombie apocalypse means staying nimble and lightweight, having a weapon that can't double as something else- and must be either slung over the shoulder or hung from the hip, either potentially causing problems should the owner need to squeeze through tight spots- is more trouble than it's worth.

Crowbars, knives, E-tools (collapsible small shovels), hammers/wrenches- these are all both weapons and useful tools in one. Try to pry open a door with a katana and you'll very quickly end up with a tanto.

Well that's all excellent but... the name.

Calumon: The name "EDGES of Reality." is kind of EDGY with that lawsuit thing going over the EDGE!
...uh oh. This could lead to the only thing more frightening than a zombie apocalypse- a lawyer attack.

I was a bit disappointed to hear that it was America/Canada only, but thanks for that globalgear site, nice to know there's somewhere for us Aussies to buy insanely dangerous weaponry as well.

EDIT: Hmm, some interesting survival gear I'm interested in.

No problem. Most of their stuff is really high quality too.
