So let me get this straight. According to the recent comparisons of Dante to James Bond ala Daniel Craig, I assume this to be a prequel.

In fact, the entire Devil May Cry timeline is sort of scatter-brained. I mean, in sequential order it's : 3,4,1,2. Not that I really have a problem with this. I mean, I've played all the Resident Evil games, and that's just a straight up fucking mess. But the Devil May Cry(which I'll now forever be forced to spell out longhand to avoid confusion with this new one)story isn't even evolving anymore. It's just wallowing in it's own pretentiousness. Isn't anybody curious what happens after the second one?!?! I fucking am!! Does Capcom think we're not?!? Or is throwing a dart at the Devil May cry timeline just been working so well for them?

Honestly, as much as I've loved the Devil May Cry series before now(except 4. That shit sucked), I hope that all of this hate shows through and this game tanks. Then maybe Capcom will take back the reigns and give us a proper DMC game. Wouldn't that be nice?
EDIT: I know they've said it's a reboot, butthis new update about it being a young Dante, clearly implies to the contrary.
