So I am having a party tomorrow that has been planned for a few weeks maybe a month, and a friend that joined my XBL Party today saying he can't come because his parents are being over protective 'cause conferences were yesterday, got another one who's musical theatre thing is going 'til 11pm, two others who are throwing a party for a friend of theirs who hasn't had a proper birthday since he lost his brother (I think), another one whose grades are terrible, and a girl I am interested in is contemplating going, she knows none of my friends, being as were are separated by a school year, and the people we hang out with. Also my grades are fluctuating like crazy for some reason. I need some cheering up of some form (game, YouTube video, etc.). And how do I approach asking her to hurry up and make up her mind in the best way possible (I need an official count in eight or so minutes, so I can get food to accommodate the size.)? Sorry if this is just an amazingly stupid topic, thread thing just today isn't the best for me.

Look at it on the bright side, it only gets worse from here.

That might not seem very encouraging, but when your in 10 years wondering if you even have friends any more, where has your life went, and know its been like 3 years since the last time you were even at a party, you will look back at this point and realize, hey, it really wasnt that bad after all.

Song from New Vegas? Also I understand what you mean, I have never really been caught defenseless like this though. At least I got two or three friends still coming.

That was single handedly some of the best groupings of videos I have seen in a while. Not so much for the first one though seen a lot of those videos.

Listen to this. This might be the sixth time I've posted this video in some thread.

I am willing to bet that people who have noticed are dead tried of me posting this, but it's appropriate for any cheering up thread.

If you're still going to have a decent number of people show up without the four or five you mentioned, then just roll with it. If it's only three of you, then maybe a change of scenery. Maybe you can show support for this guy who lost his brother. A small crowd will give you less chance to have some one-on-one mingling time with this girl you are interested in. You don't want your other friends to feel like you only had a party to get with a girl.

And if the girl doesn't come, it isn't the end of the world or even the end of your chances with her. Though I do encourage you find out if she will even get along with your friends (if not it will be more stress than you really need), so maybe invite her over some other time for pizza and a movie with a few of your people.

Look at what you do with your time and see what you need to do to get your grades up. Maybe too much time on the 360 or on the internets? It will be okay if you don't get a lot of game time. Life will be tons easier with good grades and a good degree, because knowledge is power. GI-Joe.

Well the thing is a f** I used to know used my phone to troll the guy about his brother, and I was with him (not encouraging him or anything), so he got pissed at me (perfectly reasonable IMO)and used to want to smash my face through a wall, and beat the living daylights out of me, but now as a good friend of mine put it he is just "Uber pissed now.".
I also told my friends she may show up, and if I am being an ignoring ass just to tell me pretty much. I also realize it's not the end of the world if she doesn't show either (thought about that one during NFL Steet last night). I'll invite her another time if she doesn't show, or we can just talk during class since we have over an hour to do so.
Not really worried too much about grades it was just chemistry that was being wonky I have a 3.2 now compared to last years 1.something at this current time. Also love the GI-Joe thing at the end.

There is this unseen force, FORCING you to play over and over again. Very fun, can help you get mind off of things, and make time pass.

God Bless Fail Blog. If you don't love that site then well we aren't on speaking terms. But as for the whole party thing as long as the girl comes just use the oppurtunity to get to know her. Use that pity for a failed party, it should work. Pity has been my allie with the opposite sex no regrets.
Hi, I'm Ricky Bobby, and if you don't like Fail Blog the f*** you. Or in my opinion if you don't like fail blog most of the time you are a commie.

OT: I might use the pity thing. I dunno I helped her out of a relationship that was going south (Non-abusive. her boyfriend [another friend of mine] was just too clingy to her) pretty quick, and she was feeling regret with her previous ex, but he pretty much said she was a shallow *****, and started "flirting' with everyone like she did the previous year. so being the "awesome" person I am along with a friend in the class pretty much told her there was no way in hell they would ever get back together, we also told her first relationships that last that long no wonder she'd want to be back with him, and feel that much regret or loss. Though through this I fear either she might just think of me as a friend, or just isn't ready for another boyfriend since she broke up with the first person mentioned last week. So I might as well wait.
Besides this post deviating off path, I am starting to feel a bit better you guys are awesome.

tl;dr version helped her out, and am fearing she might just think of me as a friend etc. etc..

Ultimate happy musician, Bryce Avary A.K.A. The Rocket Summer

If I ever need a pick-me-up, I go to this man. Some songs you've gotta avoid (because they're sad, not bad), but for the most part, Bryce Avary is a happy, soul-filled musician.

Second place is Bruno Mars.

Whenever I hear Bruno Mars, I just wanna hug him. And I have!

Last one, just for fun, and you may get a kick out of it. Cee-Lo Green.

Hope this helps.

Is it possible that you could get this girl to bring some of her friends with her. That way it would make her feel less awkward, since she would have her own buddies there. Plus you could have your friends and her friends mingle as you attempt to get to know here better. Just a thought.

Cee-Lo always helps. Also my parents get really butt hurt if there are more people than expected, so I might just talk to her Monday instead of tomorrow if she doesn't show. It's all good though I rediscovered MTV video mods, and it brought me back to the (mostly) good days.
