Ok looking at Dragons Age 1 and 2. One looks like the screen was covered in Vaseline compared to other games. While two is a lot of copy paste. Well those pixels take space and load time. I got to wondering as a gamer what do you want more. Scenery that looks last gene but each one is different. Like one the kind where you know when you got turned around and no two levels look alike. Or would you rather have something that looks like the real thing. You can see the wrinkles in a person face as they talk.

Me no matter how pretty something is I can only stare at it for so long before I?m sick of it.

(This is as clear as I can be I've run this through Micro word and reread it a few times.)

I prefer details over graphic quality. Give me muddy detail over high quality cut and paste.

Don't be so caught up in the graphics. Be caught up in Storyline. And don't use 'bad' graphics inhibit the immerserveness of the game as an excuse.

Heh. Strictly speaking, if you design it right, repetitive scenery in a game doesn't take up extra space, or increase loading time.

In fact, you can load it once, and draw it a million times quite easily.
Although that depends on just how repetitive it is.

But, otherwise, I agree. Seeing the same thing over and over again gets pretty tedious.

Not so good graphics with a lot of variety.

Too good of graphics (at least in facial features and such) is just a trip through Uncanny Valley.

Variety is the spice of life. And games. Prettiness, while impressive at first turns into "meh" when you see it again and again.

That said, I prefer stories or characters over graphics of any kind. I don't know how many times I finished a game I hated because I liked a companion or a story line.
