Am I the only one who saw this and thought, so, wait, it's an FPS...with another FPS built into it?

FPS-CEPTION

(Also I personally won't be going near this with a ten-foot stick)

Oh man, that looks fun! Looking at the gameplay demo I can tell that the game looks like something I'd love, so I'm gonna keep an eye ut for this title.

I really wish we could stop with this stupidity,

bullets are not magnetic!

it's literally this dumb:

there's maby 1 or 2 types of highly specialised bullet ( that actually has iron content! ) that could be vulnerable to magnetic interception and you wouldn't use them on a mech anyway..

It's not even asking for realism... just basic logic :(

other than that, it looks pretty sweet. might get me a copy.
(wouldn't that just draw the bullet towards the head?)

maybe they use different bullets in the future, or use a different sort of magnetic field than we're used to, I dunno, They'll explain it in-game.
maybe.

other than that, why aren't we just making a new futuristic Battlefield installment? I can totally see these things walking alongside tanks in a massive scale battle, just think of them as specialised anti-infantry vehicles.
they would make a bigger target than a tank, or at least way harder to conceal, use that as a balancing mechanism.

So you can either be a guy with a jetpack and jump around the place, or be a mech with more firepower and less jumping. Or you could just play Tribes and do both at the same time.

essentially, magnetic objects do not have as much mass as lead, depleted uranium and fmj arrangements that are already used in bullets because of their effective mass so yes it's possible to smelt a magnetic bullet, you just wouldn't when there are such abundant sources of heavier materials so, 'in theory' perhaps, if you could generate a magnetic field like that that wouldn't instantly short out your mech.. but in practice nah. it's just silly but then it's a game so logic / out the window!
