The Nintendo news train keeps on rolling today with the announcement that the Wii version of Ubisoft?s upcoming time-bending adventure title Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will be the first game in the franchise?s history to include two-player co-op.

Wii-owning PoP lovers will also be pleased to hear that the game includes the Super Nintendo version of the original Prince of Persia game. Throw this news in with the encouraging details Ubisoft revealed about the Wii version last week, and you have one mighty fine looking title on your hands.

Between Forgotten Sands, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, and Monster Hunter Tri, sleep and bank accounts appear to have little chance of survival for Wii owners this summer.

intresting wonder how Co-op will be.

Well, I don't think the controls of a PoP game would really work with the Wii, but it could turn out great...

I suppose.

The Wii? Making a use for itself?

You know what? I can't even be bothered to make a joke about this anymore.

Rival Swords, the Wii port of Two Thrones, worked pretty well, actually. There were some annoying parts, like when you had to shake the wiimote really, really fast during one of the boss fights, but it worked well for the most part.

Oh, I guess this could work well then. Probably still won't get it though, unless I hear it's amazing.

First off, how the hell will co-op work with this game?

And second off... Sorry Wii version, but the PS2/xbox/gamecube version beat ya to that little feature. Sands of Time had the original game on it first. Just wish I could've figured out how to actually pick up the damned sword...

The 2 player co-op probably involves puzzels more than anything. Like 1 person moves cogs and the other platforms to get something. And I thought the SNES game was supposed to be godawful.

I wonder if we'll have to be online with our wii too.

Please, don't forget it's Ubisoft. Please? make this flop

No one can blame pirates on a console game flopping.
