Prized Possessions

Well all have them. Things we value above all the other stuff we own. Maybe it means something to you, maybe you made it, maybe you earned it, or maybe you just think it's awesome for other reasons. Here you can post what your prized possessions are and why you treasure them. Post pictures of them if you wish, but please keep all pictures in spoiler tags. If you don't know how to do that, refer to the bottom of this post. I'll put up a little tutorial type thing.

Anyway, here are mine:

Poe has been my favorite writer since I was ten and my mother gave me a small book with a few of his poems in it. He inspired me to start writing myself and this book was given to me as a birthday present last year.

Spoiler: My Guitar

Music has always been a big part of my life, whether listening to it or making it. I started playing bass a few years ago and this is my first guitar. It's a Fender Standard Jazz Bass.

So those are my two prized possessions. What are yours?

I reckoned it all out before, I have roughly about 3 and a half grands worth. But because I'm a bargain maniac, I probably paid around 2 grand for what I have.

I would need batteries to post a pic, but my weapon collection(mostly dull) is probably the only thing that I value greatly. Aside from monetary value, of course.

Never actually understood why you can't simply refer to a bass guitar as a "guitar". By that same logic, you should have to refer to your Fender as an "electric". They're both guitars, just different kinds.

I made a penguin in Art class last year. It's not as cool as a really nice guitar or something, but I made it! It looks good, and I'm proud of it.

A bass is a bass and a guitar is a gutiar, same family, diffrent instrument

Really? I never really found any difference. Then again I learned to play on a five string.

lol yes I can play it...

Now that im used to it I have trouble playing 4 strings, I love the wide neck and being able to use the B string to stop my fingers, lets me play a lot faster on the E. I also never have to turn down to drop D which is AWESOME!!

Im gonna move up to a six string when I can afford it

my Lego AT-AT walker model. It isnt the biggest, it isnt the motorized one, and i lost the speeder that it came with, but its still the most sentimental thing i can think of that is made of legos...

my guitar, but idk how to post a pic cuz im new here,

and my Shiny Shoes. I took an old pair of Black and White checkered vans and spraypainted them silver with some extra spraypaint. People still freak out when they see em, and when people ask about where i got them i can say they're one of a kind. The checkered pattern stayed on after i sprayed them too, so if you look you can see how the paint stuck to the black and white differently, keeping the checkered pattern going. I was originally gonna throw them out because they were almost too small and they looked brown and ugly, and now theyre my favorite pair of shoes and i wear them more than my new ones. definitely the most sentimental and most favored of all my possesions to date.

Honorable mention: My red 'custom' spartan action figure. I found a red and white halo 2 spartan action figure at target and bought it. i lost all the guns and the plasma turret, but I still have the guy so i put him in a cool pose above my TV in my game room. I try to model my halo 2 & 3 color scheme/emblem after him, but i changed it recently and havent had the chance to change it back. Its only honorable mention because i wouldnt be too bummed if i lost it because i dont play with it anyways and would just get another one...
