Is this a thread about wrestling or music videos?

If the former, I'm not big on watching large, greasy men smother each other.

If the latter, I'm putting this up as the best music video ever:

If this is a thread about pro wrestling, yes, it is beautiful. Especially in Japan, where they go all out for their audience. It also helps that Japanese performers can take alot more damage than American performers for some reason.

Wrestling matches are also better with a story behind it. I'm a fan of the simpler stories, the storylines today are soooo convoluted. Give AJ Styles or Robert Roode a decent story, and it's guaranteed to be beautiful.

EDIT: Yes, as a matter of fact, I do ramble on like this everytime I talk about pro wrestling. XD

Almost nothing can beat the old rivalry between The Rock and Stone Cold.

You are among friends here, with me anyway.
Kawada vs Misawa 94 was awesome...
I recently saw Danielson vs Lance Storm
Solid action, right there.

I think the best match I've ever seen is Kobashi v Misawa from '97 or '98
Recently bought the last PWG DVD with Danielson v Roderick Strong and they didn't disappoint XD.
I hate when indie prodigies sign with WWE and instead of doing what they do best, they're forced to conform to WWE's watered down, Rated-PG version of wrestling.

Yeah that's why poor Low Ki asked to be released from his WWE contract.
He felt he wouldn't be doing what he really wanted to.
That and he legit kicked a couple of guys square in the head.
Hard too.
But that's just how he works.

I actually watched an ep of that terrible faux-reality show just to see Low-Ki. I like watching him, he refused to be watered-down. I haven't seen him since then (XWT is down). I think Mistico's next, though. They changed his name to Sin Cara or something.

Some of the blows in that first vid are pretty rough. One must wonder, what kind of condition these men were in...
Here's an account of what the training at a unspecified Japanese pro wrestling dojo is generally like.

6 days a week.
Start with about 20 minutes stretching and calisthenics
600 variations of ab crunches
300 push-ups, 200 back extensions
and 15 minutes of neck bridges
Work one body part with weights and resistance training for about 30 minutes until that muscle is totally fatigued.
Finish with technique training, matches, amateur sparring, and squats for an hour or more.
A training session usually lasts around 4-5 hours.

Damn

I only recently took up watching WWE after seeing how entertaining it is. Really, the only thing I don't like about it is that all the best events are pay-per-view. >:/

And I don't care what anyone says, John Cena is the man. He's no Steve Austin, but he's awesome.

I don't have much to add since I was only intrested in wrestling for a short time several years ago. But this thread reminded me of this.

Yeah. BUt I'd rather not get the flame quotes for saying I dont like pro wrestling and that its nothing compared to real wrestling.
