All the time, it's a pretty heavy issue. I got so used to napping each day in the summer holidays, that when I went back to college I kept falling asleep in my classes.

When I nap during the day, sometimes I am convinced that the entire day has past. The exchange often goes something like this.

"Steven, wake up, it's time for supper."
"What? But it's breakfast time. Why is it so light out already?"

I have complete control over my sleeping. If I think before I nap then I usually wake up in half an hour. Although why I would sleep for such a short amount of time I have no idea...

Unfortunately I experience the same shit as you.

I guess I shouldn't be too concerned, since it's not like I can ever stick to a bedtime anyway.

I usually cannot go to sleep, and feel that the day is slipping away whilst I lay here, and pretend to do nothing. Then, when I finally doze off, I have to get up anyway...

Yeah I can't nap. Sun wakes me up in the morning and keeps me from going back to sleep, then I'm out once I finally do get to sleep.

Problem....daytime naps....

These words have no business ever being in the same sentence, paragraph, body of written word ever my friend. I suggest you go have beer, take a nap, wake up refreshed and make a trip to your local Community College to take an English placement test.

Because I think you have mistaken the word problem with AWESOME!!!.

I take morning naps.

What I mean by that is:

'Ok class, we're going to be watching a movie today.'

'Great!'

*Lowers head so bangs cover eyes and sleep*

Dude, you're in your 20s. You're supposed to be all "active" and stuff. People having daytime naps should be over 55 and have ID.

The very rare few times I've been required to sleep during the middle of the day I've always felt horrid when I've woken up. Touring ftl.

My problem with daytime naps is that I feel oddly clunky (though not zombie-like like my early morning self) and have a weird taste in my mouth. I can't explain that second one, but I don't have it with regular sleep.

I end up trapped in a cycle of late nights until I can pull an all nighter and stay awake for the whole day until my usual bed time.
That's my current state. Keep sleeping absurd amounts during the day and staying up all night. Hopefully I can correct my body clock over the Christmas period.

I get that, slightly dull feeling for the rest of the day. I think the weird taste can be attributed to having eaten earlier, at least that's what I attribute it to in my case.

Okay, sorry, I messed up, it's been a while since I did maths in school. 16? That's even worse.

This. My other big problem is that I can never find anything to occupy myself long enough to make it to my usual bed time.

Whenever I try to take naps for short periods of time, I either start to doze off then snap back into consciousness because I think a long time has passed and I don't want to oversleep, or I end up sleeping the whole time and feel really groggy for an hour after I wake up.

I just stay awake the whole day. With the help of caffeine, it's easy.

Yeah I oversleep all the time. Usually 2-4 hours over. But now I have a little alarm next to me. Also it helps if I turn the air con on.

Also does your name have to do with a paladin? By any chance a Leeroy?
