problem with demons souls

ok I just got the game today but when I started to play it all the text in the game looks like it's got lines in it and even when I press the PS button all the icon words are like it to. anyone know what is going on?

Perhaps its your Tv? I've experianced the same from a below average quality Tv, Lines..Lines everywhere.

You might want to fudge with your video settings for your console (or maybe in the game too, I honestly can't remember if Demons Souls has such an option).

Sounds like a TV or Disc problem. If Demons Souls is the only game that is happens with, then check TV and Disc.

hmm could be the tv idea but my tv has never acted like this to another game and demons souls is not the most amazing looking game so I don't think it's that.

I'll try the video options and see if that helps. I really hope it works as it's not affecting the in game stuff only the text but thats still a pain.

Never heard of something like that happening. I played it on an SDTV and HDTV and none had any problems, and certainly not the problem you mention.

If you've got your HDTV connected via HDMI, then the cable is not the problem (since digital signals are 0 or 1, no in-betweens). Check other games now and see if they present the same problem. Try to put a 720p game since that's Demon's Souls definition.
