A couple of guys I consider friends, let's call them Bob and Steve, starting seeing each other. I know Bob from way back in highschool, Steve is just a guy I went on a couple of dates with a few months ago and but we never got serious at all, and just settled for a slightly awkward friendship instead.
They're pretty much breaking up now, despite some really positive early signs.
I want to be there to support both of them, without feeling like I'm betraying the other. I don't want to have to pick a side, or appear to.
Essentially, how do you be a good, supportive friend in such a volatile situation? And I don't want avoid the situation and stay uninvolved because I care too much about them both.
It just seems like an extremely fine line to tread and I'd really appreciate any advice who guys have, especially if you've been in this situation before.
