The worlds of literature, film, and games are no strangers to teenage heroes. While there are adolescent protagonists who define "annoying" and "useless," they are not the concern of this thread. Oh no, we're talking about the teenage heroes who were not only good, but great characters.

This leads me to my question for you all. Who would you consider to be the greatest teenage protagonist you've ever come across?

I feel horrible for ending the question on a preposition.

Anyway, my choice would have to be Kvothe of The Name of the Wind. What's not to like about the fellow? He's an extraordinary actor, musician, storyteller, and most importantly, thinker. Kvothe doesn't have a Herculean level of physical strength, but his unbridled brilliance more than makes up for it. Hell, even that point is somewhat invalid considering that it is hinted in the book that he's far stronger than he's letting on, though admittedly he's an adult when this hint is dropped.

His heroic deeds were accomplished through amazing intelligence, wit, and creativity, and for that, I consider him the greatest adolescent hero I've seen in any story.
