I'm curious to know if there are any women who play and compete in Electronic Sports competitions; competing on equal terms with men in games such as War/Starcraft, FIFA, Halo and Street Fighter e.t.c. Please enlighten us all!
I'm not presenting an argument here, I just can't think of any examples of female pros! So i guess if not, why not? Information on the male to female ratio of gamers is relevant, ESA claims it is around 60/40, but there are no subcategories or further details.
As a disclaimer: My view is a typical one, equality doesn't matter as long as there are equal oppurtunities. I won't mind comments for and against either gender if they're backed with a reasonable claim or disputable evidence!
