why would you bring a shape shifter into a room full of people who are paranoid for a living?
sure it makes for flashy entrance but so does almost every other mutant power.

oh and this movie does look good from what i have seen so far, may be worth watching.
From the look Xavier gives her I think she was meant to keep that to herself. I'm guessing at some point Magneto makes him take her so that she can antagonise the CIA. Thinking about it does it even have to be Mystique? She could've just taken the form of whoever Xavier was supposed to go with.

More importantly if that is Stryker (Striker?) then he must be at least in his 90's during the other movies. Brian Cox is many things but he is not 90. I think a guy in his late thirties-early forties would've been a better choice.
It looks like they have gone the reboot route.

Holy crap,
a trailer consisting of nothing but decent actors sitting in a room, acting at each other!
And it´s a trailer for a big-budget action-movie ?
What could this feeling be ?
This feeling evoked by a trailer that did not consist purely of random action-shots ?
Could it be.... interest ?
Yes I noticed that too. They did have to throw in the transformation sequences, but other than that, no special effects, no big explosions. This movie actually interests me now.

As opposed to freezing time and scaring the crap out of the president at the end of X-men 2.

Apart from that, I hold out hope that this might actually be good!

That professor is a spy!

I look forward to the explosions. I don't need the story. Although I want to know more about those Jupiter missiles in Turkey...
The Jupiter missiles in Turkey were actually a real thing. They were in place shortly before the USSR started moving missiles into Cuba. It was one of the reasons that the USSR thought they should install their own missiles in Cuba. Pretty cool that the movie is actually kinda working with actual events.

So, how LONG is this movie gonna be?

Still, you gotta love their reaction to Mystique. Quick question, though. Admittedly, I've never been one for comics, and only ever watch the series based on the universes (something I have in common with most people I know), but since when was Mystique allied with Professor X? And just how old is SHE?
It is my understanding she were pals with xavier when eric anc charles were still friends.
oh and I think her real age is unknown, i.e. she doesn't age.
Besides eric and charles, beast and mystique were the only mutants they brought back from the other movies since their exact age is unknown.
So is Charles still friends with Eric at this point? Or should I say are their methods still aligned? If so, that would make a lot of sense. Otherwise, my point still stands.

I always thought Mystique worked mostly for herself, and worked with Magneto from time to time, but for her own reasons.

See. If you did it like this:
And that,(remove Sunglasses) ladies and gentlemen, is how you make,(put sunglasses back one) a statement.

You could have had a David Crusoe Moment.
Couldn't find an image of him doing it so instead you get the Sexy Sam Winchester lol

OT: Can't wait for it lol.
Um.... Is it just me, or is it night in that clip?

I say it's better they pack it pretty full (but remain cohesive) than not put in enough just so it's leading up some sequel
like Marvel's recent movies post-Iron Man (the first one) cough Iron Man 2 cough Thor (okay not leading up to a sequel, a mega mash-up)

"And now you are asking yourself how the hell you are going to convince your estranged wife to bring you a clean pair of underwear, without your 4 year old son, who happens to have trouble potty training, finding out that you just shat yourself at work."

Awesome. The Scottish kid (James McAvoy) is a pretty good actor, I quite liked him in the Dune miniseries and a few other things. Let's hope it doesn't disappoint :)
