Mine is from a game called Pathologic. I took a screen grab and did some very basic photoshop stuff to make it more like a badge. I love Pathologic despite all its problems.

The kid from Bastion.
-Bastion is one of my favorite games.
-I am probably one of this sites' younger users.
-He has a bored expression which embodies most of what I feel daily.
-He is on floating bodies of land in the sky which goes well with my username.

Ohhh, it's a snaaaaake!

Just a drawing I whipped up three years ago while working a gig downtown. Made several different versions, but this one has been on the Escapist for some time now.

Mine is Rune Balot from the anime adaptation of Mardock Scramble. For similar reasons to [Kira Must Die] below me, I chose it because it's one of my favourites and so is the character. There is also the factor of people often recognising avatars more than names, and I have (mostly) stuck with this one for a while.

It isn't my ideal avatar from the series, but unfortunately finding usable clips is damn near impossible due to it being a fairly obscure series.

I chose it because, well, Madoka Magica is one of my favorite anime, and Madoka is one of my favorite characters.

I have been changing my avatar quite a bit recently, though, but for now I'm content with this.
The first two films are released in Japan today, hooray. I ordered them online. It was pretty expensive but I don't fancy waiting two years to watch it, which seems to be the average time difference between a Japanese and UK release, if not longer.

Mine is an angry chibi I found on the internet. I think it is someone's fanart for a game called Dungeon Fighter.

I think I'll change it to something more iconic later, but for now it'll be like this for a while.

I'm finding it difficult to find more of it to watch, since Ive only seen the first one. I want to see more!!!
Also, I think the knife fight scene where the two knifes hit each other would have been an alright avatar too.

The second one was released outside of Japan earlier this year, I don't know how long it takes for anime to be released in Canada but I imagine it should be there soon if it isn't already. The third film isn't on DVD/Blu-ray in Japan until the 25th of September (seeing how much I love the series, I imagine I will import this one too) so I doubt it will be out in the West mid-late next year.

Although having read the book and the manga's I know how it ends, so I am not quite as impatient as I would normally be.

I did have a clip of the knife scene, but I felt that due to it being quite a short the loop was a little jarring. My one is short as well, but the camera angle stays the same so it isn't quite so obvious. Perhaps with a bit more time longer clips will be around. It doesn't help that the anime has a film grain effect. I like it, but it makes gif's look a little off unless you use one of a very high quality.

Mine is.....me.

Was out one night in a place that was doing this "beach theme night" thing. Basically sandcastles all over the place, people diving through the air shooting each other with waterguns, firedancers and various beach themed accessories.

Photographer in the place snapped a picture of myself and a friend with snorkels in our mouths, totally disregarding the fact that they were likely in other peoples mouths beforehand.

I thought I looked purty so I decided to use it as my avatar ^_^

Of course you haven't heard of me, being one of poor financial standing.
You peasants are so silly.

Must of you are as daft as that Ryogo.
Well, as Ryogo once said "Why are you such a *****?"
No offense, just playing a character =)

OT: That's a Hiccup from How to Train your Dragon but in Jaeger pilot uniform. A mash-up made in Heaven.

Mine is Link, specifically his main artwork for Super Smash Bros. U. I feel it's the ideal look of Link since it's mostly based off of Twilight Princess Link which is one of his best designs. Once I saw the picture posted to the official Smash Bros. site, I literally gasped and proceeded to change it from a default escapist Link avatar instantly.

Don't be shocked if once in a while you see Reshiram making a guest appearance as my avatar. ;)

I'm Headsprouter, and my avatar is Headsprouter. I made it from his unaltered mugshot (there's an altered one on the game's character select with a more hand-drawn style) from Timesplitters: Future Perfect. Basically I transformed it to lean forward more and sharpened the image a bit.
He's more or less a zombie that's either a failed timesplitter or he's a parasite that sprouted out of a decapitated zombie. I chose him because I use him everywhere, he's my favourite character (on a sentimental level) from my favourite game. I only change occasionally. The next change will probably arrive with Timesplitters: Rewind, when I see him in HD.

Mine is Rigby from Regular Show. I chose him because I feel he and I share a lot of parallels, and he is probably my favorite cartoon character as of late.
