Nice! Now I just need a Sword of Omens that actually grows from dagger to sword when I say, Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats, ho!
I wish I had that.

is Frostmourne still available?
Yes it is. [http://www.epicweapons.com/products/frostmourne/]

I take back what I said about it being cheaper as well, I was mistaken. Frostmourne is currently going for $430, however considering it's full stainless steel, comes with a display mount, has an embedded authentication microchip and comes with A FREAKING POSTER OMFG! some might say it's still a better deal than the projected $400-$600 for the Mastersword.

/As soon as I find $430 lying around, I'm going to be picking up one of these babies.

Fiberglass? Foam? Aluminium? 3 lb?

Call me when it's a real sword.
My thoughts exactly. If they were real I'll be dropping some top dollar in the future.

Can you imagine getting a real Master sword as a birthday present? That would be a great say.

So they are charging about $500 for a nerf sword. Nice, next thing they will want $750 for a Boomerang plushie. If I am going to invest in replicas, then they are going to replicate the item, as in STEEL.

The length of the blade seems a bit short compared to the size of the hilt but other then that, cool.
Think about what you just said.

The hilt & steath colours are a bit lame. The black one from the link is awesome.

Geekologie reports that these swords typically sell for $400 - $600, though no price has been established for this particular weapon.
Frostmourne was cheaper. Just sayin'. That is awesome though. I wonder how many cosplayers are going to be snatching these up?
Typically at conventions they don't allow replica weapons with a bladed edge to be drawn. To my knowledge, they lock the weapon into the sheathe with a weird gadget or get you to sign a waiver that you won't draw it.

Still, awesome blade is awesome.

And yet another absurdly expensive but not very practically useful geek trophy is revealed. Still, it looks pretty well made and well-replicated.

Fiberglass? Do not want, but it does look very nice. Practicality > looks any day, in y opinion.

Frostmourne was made of stainless steel too and about...twice as big. Far superior intricate handle and even comes with a handy wall mount.
Yes, but is that the Master Sword?

Still not as good as the Aperture Science Hand-Held Portal Device that was shown this morning, but still...it's cool.
Ah, perhaps so, but is that the Master Sword?

...Four to six hundred dollars for a sword made out of fiberglass that manages to be heavier (and probably less balanced) than an actual sword of the same length would be. Uh, no. I could get a hand-forged real sword made of carbon steel, which could actually fend off intruders if needed, for three hundred.

It's a very pretty replica, and if they were selling it for say, fifty bucks, I'd think about it. But $400 is way too much for a dedicated wall-hanger, and $600 is right out. Sadly, I can already see the cosplayers lining up to buy this ripoff, but hey, it's their money, right?
