Proposal: Escapist TF2 tournament

I was chillin' about today and I decided it would be a lot of fun if a bunch of people got together from The Escapist and played TF2. I know there's an Escapist server, but it always seems to be empty!

So, I thought we should make it interesting. Let's make it a tournament! It probably won't be a huge thing, and winning probably won't win you anything, but that's alright I guess.

I'm thinking the best thing to do would be to play with teams of 9, with exactly one person playing each class. We can put together a bracket with teams and such, and matches can be played on any number of maps(but probably one consistently, I dunno.) I want to know how many people would be interested, and if there are enough, we can use this thread to put together teams and stuff.

The Alpha server is usually empty, but if you can deal with lag the UK server usually has people playing during the day. Unfortunately, there are a lot more randoms playing on that server than there use to be, so a lot of the time it won't be a lot of people from the Escapist playing at once.

Edit: As for the tourney, quite a few of the regulars are already in a tourney at the moment, so it'll have to wait.

That's why I thought a tournament would be fun and would increase interest in our TF2 servers, man. I know they exist, they're on my favorites list.

We've had one, and a smaller one this year run by Escapists instead of the Escapist.

Teams of 9 are fucking hard to organise, we've got an Escapist Team in the highlander tournament and it can be quite fiddly getting everyone there. So I highly suggest keeping the teams slightly lower, around 6v6.

We had a 3v3 tourney earlier and had an Escapist 3cp map made for it specially, worked really well and is still played a lot on the server.
