"Because the Bible tells-me-so... *descends into weeping*"
Ahh, that game is such a mindfuck. A fantastically-done, atmospheric, tragically beautiful mindfuck.
"IT'S JUST A STANDARD PROCEDURE!" *gun noises*
- Doctor Steinman
EDIT: Found this in the back of the Bioshock Preview issue of PC Gamer. It is both fantastic and relevant.
(World of Warcraft. Two dwarves, ESTRAGOM and VLADIROK stand in a small grove)
ESTRAGOM: Let's go.
VLADIROK: We can't.
EST: Why not?
VLAD: We're waiting for G0d0t.
EST: (despairingly) Ah! (pause) Are you sure it was here?
VLAD: What?
EST: That we were to wait.
VLAD: He said by the tree.
EST: And if he doesn't come?
VLAD: We'll be here tomorrow.
EST: And then the day after tomorrow.
VLAD: And so on.
EST: How long have we been here?
VLAD: It seems like years.
(Pause, in which ESTRAGOM visibly sighs and melodramatically looks around himself. VLADIROK suddenly breaks into dance, in a surprisingly violent Cossack fashion. He stops, looks around hopefully, then sighs.)
EST: Why are we even here?
VLAD: You know why. We are here to meet G0d0t.
EST: What if he's somewhere else? In that cave, perhaps? Maybe he'll never even come this way!
VLAD: Don't say that!
(An uncomfortable pause)
VLAD: It's possible.
EST: He might never come.
(Another uncomfortable pause)
VLAD: Well? Shall we go?
EST: Yes, let's go.
(They do not move)
"Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter."
I hate the NCR troops saying that.
I want to punch them and say "You really mean that?!".
