I play a lot of PC games and tend to get more games on the PC vs the 360. I am partial to picking up prototype on the PC vs the 360, but am wondering if this game is better on the console vs the PC.

Edit: On rare occasion I've picked up a PC game which was little more than a console port which sucked on the PC. The only title I can think of at the moment is Lost Planet. A game only designed for the console, but sold on the Steam. I regretted the purchase.

Thoughts? Questions? Comments?

While the 360 is the best choice for consoles, there's no contest between the 360 and a PC.

Get it on the PC, and as BudZer said, use a 360 controller if needs be.

If your computer can handle it.

Ah, good call. I guess it should also be mentioned that you can only play the 360 version if you have an Xbox 360.

Also, prototype is 50 dollars on PC so fuck it, get that one, the keyboard and mouse controls work much better anyway because prototype requires you to contort your fingers for so many of it's moves on consoles/controllers but with KB&M it's a simple "E+ right click" or "E + Left Click" or both clicks.

I got it on the PC, it's great. I've got a console controller, but I didn't even bother to use it because the mouse and keyboard control is good. Yay for hotkeys to have each of the different powers available with the touch of a button! Plus it'll be cheaper, so I'd say go for PC.

I would advise against getting the PC version. The one I'm playing has an awful framerate and pretty bad controls, in other words, it feels like an average port. The framerate may just be my machine -- it's probably just my machine, given the other comments, but either way, I've enjoyed it the most on the PS3.

Cool, sounds like I'll grab it on the PC. I have a mid-high end box so I don't have any graphical problems with newer games.

Thanks to all.

I have it on PC, and despise the mouse and keyboard, I only use my xbox controller with it, I think it is way better.

I got it for the Xbox 360, eventhough I'm pretty sure my PC can handle it. I don't have a controller for my computer (you need a special cable for that, right?) and Prototype is just the kind of game I'd rather play on my couch than on my (rather uncomfortable) computer seat.
