There's supposed to be tonnes of side missions, optional targets for your "web of intrigue" that give you extra points when you track 'em down.Future Hero said:I thought it was "meh".
-The graphics didn't bother me at all. I actually thought they did a pretty nice job, especially the lack of lag, even in the crowded areas. However the brownish tone when you enter an infected area is really bad
-The sandbox element is very poorly done. There are no side-missions, just those repetitive challenges that are found in every sandbox game. The only purpose the city serves is for you to fuck it up. Other than that, there's really not much you can do.
-The attack powers are too few , and surprisingly too similar. 2 that cut, 2 that smash , and one that's kinda like a ranged attack. Nothing too special. The guns are VERY poorly inserted and are just so difficult to use properly.
-Sometimes, the game just gets ridiculously hard. Considering the game is supposed to give you the impression you're a god, and then gives you insanely hard missions (making you fight 6 helis and 4 tanks WITHOUT your powers) is just inconsistent game-design.
I can't play Infamous , since I don't have a PS 3 , however judging by what I've read and saw on youtube, like the variety of powers and depth of the character, I can say It's a WAAAAY better game than Prototype.
Actually what Prototype really is, is a fancy beat'em up in a sandbox environment.
While this probably would sound like trolling, I believe the IGN score of 7.5 was too much, since I wouldn't give this game more than 6.5
Aw , well, there's still Red Faction: Guerrilla to look forward to.....
Really, it's not the developer's fault you can't be bothered to explore a world.
