Ok, just finished the last boss of Prototype. But why the hell is it
just another (albeit tougher) supreme hunter? & sure he was a challenge, until I realized you can
just run around picking up bombs, missiles, & missile pods to toss at him.
Then he was as tame as a kitty.

& didn't alex absorb
the general who started the nuke, who specifically said "ONLY I KNOW THE CODE"?
Why did he go through the trouble of hooking it up to a heli, flying it out to sea, & dropping it in the water, thus polluting the water supply, & there was no guarantee that it wouldnt hurt the city anyway? heck, it's guaranteed TO hurt the city, with a tsunami at least. Why didn't he at least use super-strength to hurl it out to sea?

So yeah, I feel like they ran out of ideas near the end &/or wanted to do some quick changes & therefore messed things up. Fun game overall though, I always love jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Reminded me of The Incredible Hulk.

I'm assuming just for a challenge to the "why is it a
supreme hunter
" thing and i am not sure he did that bit confused me
the cutscene where he gets the web of intrigue near the end
as i didn't see him consume him just throw him to the ground which made me wonder how the hell did he get a web of intrigue thing from him....correct me if i'm wrong

Yah the ending was kinda bullshit....but what I didn't get...was that the begining is supposed to be the end? I dunno putting it out of chronological order pisses me off....thats why I didn't like Lost

I understand your confusion. Though I have to say, your method of dealing with the final boss was eh...inefficient. True, it does work, and I'm amazed you actually managed to pull it off given the time limit, but you do know that you're supposed to just keep on slashing at the thing with your blade, right? The developers set it up like that. Do it fast enough, and then you'll stun the sob. Then you'll know what to do next.

As for the ending, I kinda agree with you about it. I don't think the developers put too much thought into the story, but I guess we can all assume that it was neither our nor their primary concern in the first place.

It was not just another one for the last boss, it was the same hunter. When you kill it the first time you see its hand come back up, and the hunter was specialist Cross. But it was kinda stupid to have consumed the general who knew the damned code and then not use it to turn the bomb off.

I recall him screaming, I assumed that's when he was absorbed. Also, he had info that Alex wanted, if Alex didn't absorb him I'd send a "You Are Stupid" email to the story creators right now.

Yeah I just remembered that. Strange, but I felt alot tougher back then in the beginning (end) than I did in the actual end.

Every time I try to do that drop-slash move he blocks it, & if I'm ever close enough he'll just smack me away.
So I just tossed stuff at him 'til he got stunned & then did what I had to do.

ooo, ok, I see now. That's something I didn't realize. Still doesn't make it a great final boss though :S Buuuuut wait,
the first supreme hunter came out of Elizabeth Greene when Alex stabbed her with the syringe right? & Cross was already around the world, so he wasn't the supreme hunter originally. Does that mean the supreme hunter ate Cross & assumed his form? & the viral-detectors (I call them suspect-o-meters) never detected him?

Also, what DID that stupid syringe do to Greene other than create an extremely tough opponent?!

I'm actually having fun ripping on the story.

Use spoiler tags man.

theres an easier way to beat him. Run around consuming soldier then use devastators on him then repeat until he stunned

Soldiers give too little health :S &
they evacuate around halfway through.

plus he always smacks me right after my devastator is finished & I'm recovering, so that's a ton of health I need to restore, which means a ton of soldiers. I found my way in defeating him just way easy.

Yea I thought the story overall was pretty loose but the game itself is fun as hell. You know it was made by the same people who made Hulk UD: probably the best game based on a comic book.

I haven't played the game, nor did I want to, but I find that massive plothole hilarious. Lawl.

The Hunter was always Cross. He is also Greene's son. The soldiers stay for the whole fight. The Pain Devastator is great to kill the Hunter. I think that once the timer on the bomb was started it could not be stopped, hence why Alex did what he did. As for the Chopper, those things can fly further than Alex can throw... so yeah, he took it as far away as he could.

Woo that's a lot of stuff.

My problem with Prototype was that it gave you loads of HOLYSHITBALLSDEEP powers and then makes you relive it, making you wait for the powers. Sure you get them RELATIVELY quickly but it's still a bit of a dick move.

Also there was something incredibly unimmersive about that game, I dunno if that was just me.

Also it was REALLY quiet.

And the plot was kinda sucky.

I have alot of problems with this game I guess

The Supreme Hunter ate Cross after it's fight with Alex. You see it's hand pop up and later you get a short vision through infected eyes looking at Cross charging his shock stick and loading his rocket launcher. At that point, Cross suddenly starts helping Alex.

Yes, Alex ate Randall, we get a cinematic of him cutting off his arm after being bitten by Greene.

Really? I always thought that Cross had been absorbed before they went to the ship. The Supreme Hunter tracked him, and Cross helped Alex because he sensed some bullshit from his superiors.

And the "Arm cutoff to avoid virus" is total fucking bullshit. If he got bitten, he woulda died. Viruses spread faster than you can cut off your arm.

Well I would question the effectivness of throwing out into the sea vs droping it there with a helicopter. Either way it would blow up and cause some sort of tidal wave that would no doubt cuase damage to the city.

I would, except for the fact that he absorbed the general and should know the codes to shut it down kind blows the other one out of the conversation.

Game developers aren't always the brightest people when it comes to story plot, plus it was the last part of the game. With most games that is that last part they work on and, not surprisingly, is the part that receives the least work. So those two things coupled together equals another unnecessary task that a main character has to preform in order for the game to end the way the programmers wanted it to.

But what were you really expecting from a game like prototype? Karate kicking helicopter rarely goes hand in hand with thoughtful plot.

I thought it might be. Felt too similar to be coincidence.

You really shouldn't knock it unless it's just a genre you don't like, because it's actually alot of fun to fly a heli to the highest point possible & BulletDive Drop [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gqzvaul-VU&feature=related]
