Getting to know these 3 amazing people. Amongst all the others I know/talk to.

Finding the Forum Games group has been an accomplishment and stress relief.

And occasionally being a part of the communicast is an accomplishment.

Being here so long without getting banned is an accomplishment I think. Also getting no moderation against me in well over a year is nice as well. I think I've also made a fair name for myself in the Religion and Politics section.

For me it was probably the Katawa Shoujo fan group I started. We're still 109 members strong.

My proudest moment seems quite silly now. Long long ago, I was the first person to reach 25,000 posts.
*reminisces*
Ah, the sheer amount of drivel i used to spout.
I am proud of the people I've friended over the years of being here, though. And that bit of pride has made me much happier than the previously mentioned tidbit.

Senor Taco already mentioned it but I'll one up him and post it! Take THAT Taco! :D

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.837656-Twas-the-Night-Before-Christmas-on-The-Escapist#20544838

A handful of us weirdos in the PubClub created a video because we're weird and we thought it would be fun.

Secondly, while not nearly as popular as Marter's group, "Tippy2k2's XCOM Army" [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Tippy2k2-s-XCOM-Army-Let-s-Play] has done pretty well for itself. Well...not the army since they keep melting but Command was pretty happy with the game. We are on a break right now as Command has received tons of games to play over Christmas but you never know when the call to arms shall blare once again...
Yeah sure, that's why we're on a break, it's not because we all melted or anything...

OT: I don't think I've done anything particularly noteworthy in my time here. One time I engaged in a squirrel war with some guy (makes just as much sense in context). Another time Elementary-Dear-Watson thanked me for making him laugh, that was a nice moment.
Little things I guess.

I dunno. Everything I do is magnificent.
But I don't know that I'd point to anything in particular on The Escapist and call attention to it.

This is more like my sandbox where I just mess around.

I drop huge overly-complete responses on most topics I respond to.
My mostly self-taught English skills have essentially been honed on forums. They are such that my college English professor is like "Why the hell are you even in this class? I have nothing left to teach you." Ditto with my public speaking class.
That's something, right? Effortless A's in college courses.

...Most of that credit probably goes to my old "home forum" though, where I'm famous and one of the top 15 posters....

*shrug*

Uhhhhh...

...

I dunno, lol. I can't remember anything I do that's really notable, beyond hosting the annual Rage n Tears Meter for each March Mayhem.

Well, I'm well known as "that guy with the avatar".

The first ever thread I created on this site was a [a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.339176-Poll-Do-you-think-youre-more-intelligent-than-the-average-person-Be-honest?page=1"]poll[/a] that received over 10,000 views and 15 pages of replies.

I'm pretty proud of it I must say. I'm also pretty proud of myself for being able to find that thing considering it's 2 years old and I've made literally thousands of posts since then.

I got a Creative Spotlight courtesy of Aerosteam.

And I was asked to make a Christmas banner for the FailCast, at which I succeeded. First commission and I didn't crash and burn.

Also, I've managed to be here for nearly 5 years now without seeming like a total creepy loser... I think.

Realizing that I helped someone out without realizing it until last Christmas?
Actually finding a [off-]topic that spawned an actual conversation?
Not getting banned?

OH! I know!! Making a forum game thread on nothing but haikus... since I didn't think it would have lasted as long as it did... (I might do it again sometime in the future... *grins*)

Probably getting asked to become a mod. Yay responsibilities!

A proud achievement of mine would probably be banning this person.
That was certainly a great moment.

Coming from the guy who is LITERALLY the Doctor. And what's his glorious mission this time around?

Moderating the Escapist. Truly the greatest achievement a Time Traveller can make!

OT:

Well, I haven't lost any sarcasm over the years, so that's good!

Apart from that, managing to get the weird glitchy achievement for watching all of the Zero Puncuations. Also the fact that I literally haven't changed my bio from the day that I made this account. And I haven't changed my profile pic either.

News Dog rides the Escapist forums like a Kangaroo running from Dropbears, and he's still going!

I have also been here for a while, but I haven't racked up a massive post count. Mainly because I only post when I want to troll talk about something very important or have a rage at some stupid news story. Ah forums, you make me rage and laugh. Mostly rage. In fact, it's just about always rage.

Oh, I also learnt how to do the strikes. Those and many other little codes you can throw in had always killed me because I couldn't find a solid database on what does what. Experience, truly, is key. I still haven't learnt all of them, and so I continue in my mission, to explore strange new threads, to seek out new codes and new tricks... TO BOLDLY GO TO R&P WHERE NO SANE MAN HAS GONE BEFORE!

... Actually, bugger that, I prefer my sanity more than R&P. Thankfully I haven't witnessed the horrible stench of death that permeates from the battlefields. I know nothing, News Dog!

Both valid points. But you mistake my accusation of weirdness for a negative connotation of the term. We are all weird. Weird people are much more interesting than "normal" people in nearly ever way. I wouldn't want to be normal, my brain just couldn't handle the boredom!

But yes, in my long life of travelling time and space, seeing wonders of the galaxy, civilisations live and die, worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea's asleep and the rivers dream, people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice and somewhere else the tea is getting cold. But my greatest achievement is becoming an important part of the Escapist community and interacting with all you wonderful people.

I was going try and make another sarcastic comment, but then you broke my everythings with that speech. *sob*

Excuse me while I sit on the balcony and put on some sad violin music. The words will slowly fade away... like... tourists in a dropbear enclosure... Time to cry.

My proudest achievement on the Escapist is finding out that Greg Tito hasn't been assassinated yet. I worry for him every day since DA2 came out.

I've sort of stuck around for a while and am kind of active at times.
That may not sound very impressive, but that's never happened before.
Good job guys, you've somewhat held my interest.

I'm mostly just a forum skimmer who keeps to himself, but I occasionally get recognized from Desert Bus for Hope. I'll never be on an OctoPimp level, but it's good to hear people reminisce and trade months-old memes with.

I'm still here, despite countless distractions, the rest of the internet, work and video games.
Never has an internet community done that for me.

I also got the beard badge and a community spotlight, those are pretty awesome.

Errr I guess my 'was featured in a letter to the editor badge'. And never getting any warnings despite I'm sure toeing the line a few times.
