Your conclusion is that the mind creates god. With that conclusion, you would also have to agree that if the mind creates god, then everyone has created their own god without there actually being that many gods. Everyone creates their own god(s)/goddess(es) therefore whatever you believe is correct due to the fact that your mind has created it.

also me not being of the religious type but wants one i could believe. i have studied most main stream religions and they are built opposing each other but stick to a general rule set.
so to put it simple religion puts people against those of other religions.
in a world with out religion or a world where everyone is the same religion we'd have a lot less war. and a lot less people claiming there god is the only god and everyone should believe you.

I didn't say you need religion to be good. Most religions "reward" you for being good; so by being good you will go to heaven despite not believing in God. It may be a godless "be here now" heaven but that's why you are good with others so YOU can feel good about it right now and if you are good to people all the time you must be a saint.Reklore said:

why does it matter? by the time you find out if there is a god or not and what type of god or gods there are you will be dead.
