I woke up today and a delivery guy came. He handed over a copy of X-blades and a PS3 bundled with Killzone 2.

I had no idea I'd I won first place in a caption contest on a game website.
This is the first time I've actually won something.

For the purpoase of discussion have you guys won anything before?

nothing I'd consider major, silly little contests here and there.. I've never come back from vegas with less than I went with... And I scored with the ME contest...but those are the only things " contest for fun" things.

Won a Nintendo DS in a competition for naming pokemon...
But I woke up this morning and found I'd won £50 from Premium bonds so that was a nice surprise.

There was also this time that I spent about $20 on raffle tickets. I didn't win anything.

I've never won anything, ever. But I already have an xbox and there's only about 4 games I'd play on a ps3, so I'm not too worried.

I'm one of those people who have never won anything they've given any interest in.

Currently, I'm awaiting to see whether or not I've won free tickets to a band I'm seeing on Friday (The Berzerker) but chance tells me I won't win them.

You know those contests where they float off balloons and whoever's got the furthest won. Well mine ended up in Scotland apparently. I won £200 worth of pokemons goods. I was 8 at the time, best contest ever.

i've won several cups and the junior national championship in sports climbing when i was younger. the prizes consisted of climbing gear.

About 2 years ago i got addicted to signing up on raffles and contests.

Won Eragon for PS2 (meh), Medal of Honor Airborne for 360 (yay, kinda), a set of Hellboy Books with one Hellboy Comicbook, one BPRD Comicbook and one novelization of the second movie (yay...except for the last one, wich is a bit stupid) and one SWEET gaming notebook from MSI (awesome, despite the fact i just bought a notebook back then, but that was a relatively weak one, so yay all the way)

Of course i signed on for hundreds of contests, but in the end, i think it was really worth it, given all the stuff i got for free.

So i continue and try to win every Game, Blu Ray Disc or DVD i come across, spreading my data to spammers all over the world.

I won a silver PSP with God of War: Chains of Olympus about a year ago. Six months ago I got a Bioshock prize pack(game on PS3, shirt and rather awesome art book. Glad I won, I sure wouldn't have bought it). I also managed to win entry into one of the Killzone 2 pre-release events.
