So heres my problem

A couple of days ago my old 40GB PS3 got the YLOD and I purchased a new 320GB one. I had a bunch of game saves stored to the cloud folder...

After setting up my new system and signing in I try to retrieve my saved cloud data and I get this message:

the available space in the folder is correct (143MB out of 150MB) so I guess that indicates that my data is still there but it doesn't show up? Any help is appreciated.

If I had to guess, it might resulted from the 3 week outage or a possible activation issue.

My suggestions would be to:
1) Just wait, Sorry it seems wait till everything is up is a possible fix. Wait till June 1st and if your saves still not there then do 2

2) Call Sony and tell about your missing cloud saves and maybe they will straight everything out.

3) Call Sony to deactivate your accounts to all your PS3's (even the one that Yellow lighted) and then reactivate to your new one/primary PS3

4) If calling Sony gives you a headache and IF you still have your old Ps3 with you, then you could replace the hard drive of the old ps3 to the new ps3 and you gave your saves but if you have an external hard drive or thumb dive you can do is:

A) Make sure your hard drive is at least 40Gb and in FAT32 format and then from the PS3, Do a backup (in your system settings) and then switch hard drive back and do a restore.

B) Using the thumb drive, manually copy the saves onto the stick and then switch drives back then manually copy back saves onto your 320GB. This plan will work with Hard drives regardless of size and format.

If you are planing to do 4, I recommend to do B, sure it's time consuming but it's lot safer and you will have risk of erase everything trying to get a Fat32 format hard drive for A.

I hope you get your saves back
