So if anyone read my other topic (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.408654-What-is-the-point-of-consoles-anymore?page=1) it was fairly clear that I'm not a fan of what consoles are becoming, but I am a huge fan of what they once were, which can be summed up as pc's that were completely dedicated to gaming.

I have a store near me Play and trade (http://www.playntrade.com/) which holds a huge number of games in stock of this era and even a huge wall of cartridge games. I'm looking to beef up my library of ps2 and gamecube games before I head back to school. Does anyone have any recommendations for classic games to look into? Games similar to these are great but really anything would be awesome.

Some I have for gamecube and enjoyed:
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Metroid Prime
Metroid Echos
Spiderman
Spiderman 2
Price of Persia Sands of Time
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Star Fox Assault
Timesplitters 2
Timesplitters Future Perfect

Ps2 games:
Black
Gun
Mercenaries World in Flames
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 3
Resident Evil 4
SOCOM 2
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Star Wars Battlefront
Thirteen
Twisted Metal Black

So yea, what are some games anyone would recommend giving a go?
One of the games I am currently hunting down is Shadow of the Colossus. Also trying to locate Kingdom of Hearts and a good Mario party game.

For Gamecube I'd recommend Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem, which is a great mind screw horror game.

I notice that your Gamecube list is lacking Mario Kart: Double Dash. You should try to go about fixing that.

Also, Okami is a fantastic PS2 game, although if you have a PS3, you're probably better off getting the HD re-release.
