PS2 games on the PS3

Just wondering if the PS2 games that are on the PSN retain their multiplayer modes, it says they might not but I was just wondering because I was considering buying Red Faction 2 for the multiplayer with the bots, so do PS2 games on the PS3 still have all their modes other then single player?

As far as I know, the PS2 games on PSN are pretty much straight ports, with all that entails.

I don't think the PS2 games on PS3 have online MP modes, I know MGS3 doesn't have the online game included. I'm guessing the offline MP modes would be there.

Well it's only the offline i'm talking about, you could make your own bots in RF 2
