If you played MGS4, you'll probably like the Xenosaga series. It was supposed to be 6 parts (with Xenogears being the fifth game) but Executive Meddling cut it short to three games.

Don't forget the prince of Persia games and Silent hill 3(another person already mentioned silent hill 2)Also okami is a great game.
There is loads to play on the ps2 it had the biggest library of games out of all consoles.
Go in to a game stop some time and there should e a shelf filled with ridiculously cheap ps2 games.And if you have money you can probably buy about 100.

Oh and almost for got about beyond good and evil.

There are 3 games you NEED if you have a ps2:

GTA San Andreas

Burnout Revenge (and if you dig that, Burnout 3)

and We Love Katamari

If you're the kind of person who enjoys that last suggestion with a good "head" on, I would also suggest Rez & Ribbit King.

IMO-These games are actually better than anything out this gen.
