I'm thinking of buying a Swap Magic disc for my PAL slim PS2 to play Japanese games, but I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with these and can tell me just how easy it is?
I've seen videos of people taking the screws off the PS2, taking it apart and all sorts to block the sensors manually, but I'm planning on buying the slimtool kit on the link below.

Does that mean I don't have to bother with opening the PS2 at all?

EDIT: I'm thinking of getting the V3.6 as it's cheaper. Don't know if that changes anything?
