So this weekend, I rented army of two: the 40th day. I played it a fair bit, then i turned the PS3 off. The next morning, I turned the PS3 back on to play some more AOT, And then, I see that all three save slots are empty. I'm pretty sure that i saw the game saying "saving....". I looked at the saved data utility section, and apparently there was some corrupted data. I'm hoping to avoid this in future, so could you please help me?

Also:
This has happened before, with Brothers In Arms:Hells Highway and Batman Arkham Asylum.
I only turned it off by pressing the switch at the back whilst the game was paused.
I'm sure that I waited for the "saving...." text to dissapear.

What do you think happened? has this ever happened to you?

Yep. If there's any kind of autosave feature at all, you should always go back up to the highest menu/title screen you can to make sure it has finished saving.

See i dont have this happen because i dont trust auto-saves. i always keep 2 manually saved games right next to one another.

dont turn it off at the back while in a game, it can damage your disk drive(the lens)

My PS3 does that sometimes. You have to make sure you quit the game, then turn off the system in the users bar, wait for the power light to go red, and then flip the power switch off.
