PS3 co-op games.

Me and my buddy have recently acquired a PS3 for awhile. (Relative has gone away for awhile, not stolen )

Any good co-op games to run through? We just finished Resident Evil 5 and we have Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 to be getting on with till we find something to rent.

If it requires splitscreen preferably along the top and bottom, not left and right. (Horizontal > Vertical split) Seriously who needs to see higher up and down than left and right in a game like Rainbow Six? (Did look to change but failed to find anything, use this space to shout at me for being blind if there is a way to change it to horizontal.)

Edit: Any types of games are fine really, and I'm usually a PC gamer so as I'm trying a new platform I'm happy to try any types of games I don't usually play aswell.

Baja has split screen, there are others but most MP games on consoles today rely on Internet MP, they seem to think that split screen isn't wanted by the look of it.

Yeah I heard about this, but only just seeing it first hand. That's pretty shit, only reason I ever play consoles is for same room co-op. It's like lanning without the LAN.

Already ran through Army of Two on an xbox, shit game if I wasn't playing it co-op, (wouldn't play that online co-op even with people I knew), but it was well fun with local multiplayer.

LittleBigPlanet. I know, it's not that exciting as Resident Evil 5 or Army of Two in co-op, but it's still loads of fun to play with a friend.

OT: resistance 1 and 2 have co op and they are pretty good games.

I'd recommend waiting for Borderlands. I read somewhere that it has offline split-screen co-op.
