Have you tried returning it to the store you got it from and telling them it doesn't work? They should replace it for you if you have your proof of perches. Also you might want to try changing to fresh batterys, that sometimes works.

if all else fails though try this ->

If you don't have another controller, try plugging it in via USB (if it can), if that doesn't work and if you have a usb mouse, plug that in and you should be able (last I checked) to navigate the menus to get the bluetooth working. Hope this helps.

Well they are legally obliged to replace faulty goods as long as you can prove you bought it from there and it's with in 3 months of the initial perches so they cant really refuse you. Though i understand about it being an inconvenience for you, well anyway good luck and i hope it all works out for you.

It may be that the recent update of patches to void the recent PS3 Cracks has made your particular controller non-workable. It might be worth doing a google search to see if there is any solid evidence of you brand getting shafted in the update.

A USB keyboard works equally well. Just plug it in and get to the bluetooth menu. Though looking at the product, it has a USB dongle to interact with (you are plugging that in right?). If not, all I can suggest is try navigating the XMB with a keyboard first; see if you can pick it up somehow.
