Second of all, inFAMOUS, LittleBigPlanet, and Katamari Forever (Which came out today, and, c'mon. Who doesn't love those games?) are the best exclusives I can think of off the top of my head.

ive signed a contract with a family member that if i get A's and naaa some B's on my next report card ill get a ps3 and a game, and on the next card ill get 2 games . to me its a fiken sweet deal but i dont know wut game to get and to narrow the options i HATE rpgs ,rts's,and puzzles.i could use a game thatll last and of couse its got to be BAD ASS.

Hate is such a strong word, especially against RTS's. Bad ass, hmmmmmmmm, from what I've played/expect you may like:
> CoD4: Modern Warfare
> Modern Warfare 2
> Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition, yeah it's a RPG, but a FPS RPG and a whole load of fun.
> Prototype
> Infamous
> Resistance 1 & 2
> Killzone 2
> Saints Row 2, like GTA, but customisable & fun!
> UFC 2009: Undisputed, it's fun especially the KO replays
> Brutal Legend and Dragon Age: Origins, look bad ass enough to transcend genre hate
> God of War 1 & 2 PS3 re-release, as above
> God of War 3 will definitely transcend the genre hate, although it's hack and slash more than anything else.

I think that almost all true gamers agree that Kirby is badass...

Still, why don't you like the other genres? I mean, give us reasons, and we may be able to sort out a game that would still be worth your playing.

We are kind of stingy on grammar and spelling here so...yeah.
As for what games to get, I'd focus on getting the grades first before thinking about what games to buy (makes sense right?).
But I guess I'll give you 3 titles you should keep an eye on until you get your system:
MAG (lots of pew pew)
Uncharted 2 (pretty badass by my opinion)
and of course the standard Killzone 2/Resistance.

As for PS3 titles:
MAG looks interesting if you are a FPS person
Uncharted 2 looks awesome if you are anyone
Infamous is very fun
Killzone 2 is worth a look if you love online
Same goes for Resistance 2
The Ratchet and Clank series has never steered me wrong
and of course, Batman Arkham Asylum is always a good choice.
