PS3 game

i am getting a ps3 for christmas, and i just got uncharted 1, resistance, littlebigplanet, infamous, and ratchet and clank tools of destruction, and i was thinking of getting lair, should i get it. what are some pros and cons about the game?, i also want to know what good multiplayer games are on the ps3

Uncharted 2 has fun multiplayer, get that

Don't get lair, its the worst game you could get for the PS3, you should also avoid Haze. Good multiplayer games would be call of duty 4, world at war, and Modern Warfare 2 if you like call of duty. Kill Zone 2 and Uncharted are also good games. If your a serious PS3 player you should get Metal Gear Solid 4.

Resistance 2 is what I always play around my mates, you just said resistance so I assume you meant he first one. The second one is miles better in my opinion but they are my favourite ps3 games.

Metal Gear Solid 4.

Yes, even if you haven't played other games in the series or if you generally don't like "that" (whatever you would call it) kind of games, get it. If there is sole reason why you must buy PS3 it's this game.

Haha, just had to post that one. No but really, I've heard lots of praise for Warhawk, a multiplayer game.

Yeah, Warhawk's really fun, but the servers are a bit on the empty side.

The online co-ops pretty cool, and its one of the few ps3 games I know that allow you to sign someone in as a guest. So my friend and I can go co-op online together; which makes team tactics a lot easier (since I normally go medic class) considering the ps3 doesn't come with microphones. Also microphones are not used as often as they are on say 360 or pc so it rather helps to be in the same room.

Competitive multiplayer also allows guests and I believe for both competitive and co-op the guest account keeps exp and weapons they have unlocked (I know co-op does but I haven't done competitive enough)

Killzone/Resistance/CoD:MW...2 are all good FPS, Uncharted 2 takes the cake on 3rd person as well as having a damn single player campaign (mixing in a vertical aspect), Ratchet and Clank is a great action platformer and Little Big Planet is great regardless of it looking "kiddie". Plus, Heavy Rain's coming soon as is God of War 3 (and resistance 3).

And if you're looking for a stealth-ish game, Metal Gear Solid will fill the gap (pre-warning, it's big thematic storytelling).

Borderlands is a good one too. The graphics are kinda cartoony but thats half the fun.

I've got Infamous, most of the R&C series, Little Big Planet, Uncharted, and Resistance,as well as a few others, but these sort of stand out, so I'll secommend them. I don't really get the praise of MGS4, all I saw was an above average stealth/action game, which could have been improved in a number of ways. But no one seems to agree with me, so maybe I'm just too picky.

Get "Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time" as well it's fantastic, even better than their first PS3 game.

Wipeout HD Fury is pretty awesome if you want to experience the classic gravity racing game in nice gleaming high def. Failing that, wait a bit and get God of War 3. It'll rock...honest!

Wipeout HD is such a great game, my favorite racing game this gen (at least until GT5) and it's alot cheaper than a retail game. Definitely recommend that.

Uncharted 2 is a must own, but I would wait until you finish the first since you have it.

I would say get Killzone 2, it is such a great multiplayer game. However you might want to download the demo/rent first in order to make sure you like the "feel" of the game, as some people hate it.

So true. It might have been playable with the option to use normal controls but it's all based around the motion controls for the sixaxis. And guess what...they don't work.
If you see it cheap, it's cheap for a reason.

Yeah I was shocked by Killzone 2's control scheme at first but it is a good game once you get past that L1/L2 doesn't aim, but the right stick?! Really?
