So I've had my fatboy for about 5 months now (60GBS) and have had no problems whatsoever. Then today, it started freezing up and giving me various screens like this every time I tried to turn it on. For a while, the controllers worked on it (the PS3 clicking whenever I moved the analog sticks) and then they stopped. Sometimes my PS3 wouldn't even go to the main screen.

The thing is, I used it the day before with no problems and then I was able to get online and play around in the AC multiplayer for about half an hour before this happened. As soon as I went to the PS store to check on the DLC packages, this is what happened.

It was suggested that I mess with the HDMI cable, but that barely did anything and the SONY rep I talked to just said to junk it (along with all the Gamestop employees)

I've got a year warranty on the thing, but I'd rather not have to get a new one if I don't have to.

EDIT: I did perform a software update the day before this occurred.

You try it on other T.V's? it might just be the T.V. Also try different HDMI chords. One guy on my F-List breaks his ps3 constantly because the HDMI heats up cause he never turns it off.
No, but it's worked fine on this TV for 5 months. Why would it suddenly stop?

Mine stays turned off most of the time.

Have you tested any other kind of input to the monitor?

If you've done that, and plugging everything out and in again didn't work, you might just be screwed. How old is the console itself?

EDIT: Scratch that.

Re-do your video settings on the PS3. It may not be set up for the resolution you're trying to use.

Yeah, my PS2 worked fine with it along with the DVD player built in the side of the TV. I'm not sure how old the console is and the TV is practically brand new (unless you count 5 months out of Best Buy old). It's not from launch date though, that much I do have.

It's worked fine on these monitor for 5 months. Also, it won't let me get past the point where I took the picture...sometimes it won't even go that far.
