Got a PS3 for xmas and have been having lots of fun with it.
However, I'm having some serious issues when it comes to internet connection on the system. I had it for a couple weeks before I tried connecting it to the internet.
Now that it's connected, it seems that every time I turn the system on or off, it interrupts the internet on my whole network. My fiance often gets upset because I'll turn on the PS3 and she'll get disconnected from World of Warcraft.
I'm also having major issues with updating games. Any new game I get that has to be updated will begin the update process, get a portion of the way through the update, and then disconnect. It took like 20 tries to update Uncharted: Drakes Fortune (which played fine before I connected to the net), and I can't even play Little Big Planet because it gets 10-20% through the first of seven updates, and then freezes.
Any one else with similar problems, or have some ideas on what to do?
For the record, I have my internet modem connected to a wireless router, and I've tried connecting the PS3 wirelessly, wired, and even directly into the modem, to no avail.
