Well I'm glad I have one because of the great exclusive titles, but I hear a lot of people say that the xbox has a better online community, and that a lot of people who own both consoles buy the unexclusive titles for their xbox as they're paying the online service, and this increases the online community for xbox live. But I'm glad that I'm not missing out on anything afterall.

hmmm.. I have a question, how would I wirelessly connect my PS3 to PSN?
EDIT: I forgot to mention I got the PS3 when it first cam out. The 64-bit I believe.

I have the original first gen PS3 (like I was one of the very first people to own one), and it has wireless however it's blind so to speak. You need to type in all of the information exactly or it wont see the wireless router.

Really, no suprise. Live is pay-to-play, and Wii's is horribly handled, combined with the lack of multiplayer games.

It has Wifi.

As soon as you turn it on you connect almost by accident, and there is SOO much encouragement to connect online (games, browser, hulu).

There are so many hoops you have to jump through to get online working on 360 in a typical household it's no surprise there are estimated to be only 10 million Gold Members of Xbox Live (out of 40 million consoles) in the whole world.

You're still connected to XBL without a subscription, you're just considered a "silver" member. However, most Xboxes don't have built in wi-fi, which explains it. The Wii has a pretty casual crowd, moreso than other consoles anyway, so most don't bother to connect it only cause they just want to play the damn games.

It's not just that', there's simply no point to with the Wii. My girlfriend's cousin has one, and she mentioned that she looked through everything on the Wii to see if there were some free demo downloads, and simply there are none. On the 360 and PS3 there's a reason to connect to download demos and try things out. Just simply can't do that with the Wii so why would you bother?

Yeah, that's true. I've got a 360 and am on the 1 month Xbox Live Gold trial, and I don't even consider it good enough to be worth creating a new account each month for another free trial for the multiplayer games, let alone paying for it.

The Wii's online isn't as seamless as the other consoles, it's never really pushed on you. You just get the occasional game with online multiplayer and the Wii Shop icon hidden away in the corner.

Not to mention a lot of Wii players won't be so tech-headed, they'll be more into 10 minute Wii Fit sessions and local multiplayer than the whole online kabang.

makes sense too where its free online services and a top BluRay player, so I can see many people using it just for BluRays. Plus, BluRays need to go online alot to access things and pull up different trailers and crap like that so it would need to be connected.

I'm a PS3 fanboy, but, while microsoft charges users 50 bucks per year for XboX live, you get most of that money back in shape of microsoft points when you earn an achievement in a game. It also encourages people to buy more games. You might even be able to earn some money out of it by borrowing friend's and family's games and just use youtube to quickly unlock all achievements.

What are you talking about? I've got a Gold account right now and I get no Microsoft points any time I hit an achievement.
