Does anyone know how to stop your mic sending HORRIBLE background noise to other players even when you're not talking? And if there's a way to stop voices from other mics playing through your TV please tell me.

Well I solved that problem by throwing my mic out of the window a few months ago. I prefer not to use a mic on my ps3 now, save it for the xbox.

I don't have a PS3 but if its anything like an auto-input PC mic, you should be able to turn down the pick-up volume. It doesn't change the volume that the other players hear things, it just changes the volume needed before it picks up sound.

I just use a bluetooth headset 30 buck one. nothing too fancy. no complaints yet. There are also mic level settings in your manage device menu if that helps at all.

Don't use the tv speakers to hear, use headphones.

Are you talking about hearing other people talk with there mic?
