KillZone 2.

The online is astounding, and if you apply to the weekend tournaments they sometimes put the Map Pack on rotation, so you'll get to play them even without paying for them.

Better multi-player so more lasting appeal.
Resistance 2 is good if you like big boss fights though.
And An amazing Online Co-op. Like crazy good. Like the best bit of the game...

Resistance 2. Don't own a PS3, but my friends do and I've played both games a decent amount. Killzone 2 was pretty and it sounded good, but I just thought Resistance was MUCH better. That co-op is just awesome.

Killzone 2. I've played both, traded in Resitance 2 but have played through Killzone 2 four or five times.

The multiplayer campaign for Resitance 2 is kinda neat though.

I just found Killzone 2 way more intense. It pulled me in by the throat and didn't let go till the last shot was fired.

Well, I went and got Killzone 2. (As well as MGS4 and the headset)

Killzone 2 has got to be one of the best damn FPSs I've ever played. MGS4's SP is fun, but the hoops you have to jump through to get online are ridiculous, and the people were none too friendly either.

Though, out of those two games, I'd get resistance 2, just because I find the online co-op to be pure win.

Regardless, it's a better game than both of the shooters you've mentioned. Opinions are like assholes though.

The only moments where you are not in control of the game are when the helicopter first shows up and when he rolls out of the way after getting knocked down.

The best thing? The entire game is pretty much like this. It's 10-12 hours of crazy setpiece after crazy setpiece.

Well, I'm playing TransFormers War for Cybertron right now, and it's pretty good. Storys short, but the multiplayer is fun, but with games like Killzone, the multiplayer is kinda what you're there for. And since Resistance and Killzone are FPS and T:WFC was loosely based on Gears, it seems kinda up your alley.

I mean, I suck at it, but I'm not an FPS person, so maybe it's really good...?
