My brother went out and brought a PS3 today. We already have an XBox but he brought one anyway so I might as well make the most of it. I'm looking for good Ps3 exclusives and fun games. By 'fun' games I mean games that everyone can play and enjoy.

Demon's Souls, Blazblue, Nier, God of War III....uh......

It's late and that's all I can think of.

Have a go at Uncharted 1 & 2. I didn't get them until a few weeks ago and Wow I love em!
And plus they should be cheap by now.

I don't know, I don't own a PS3, though I would like to.

The God of War series is on the PSN, barring the third one of course.

Umm.... Well I think the Killzone games are alright for shooters, aren't they? Ratchet and Clank is good stuff though!

I cannot stress this enough....GET LITTLE BIG PLANET NOW!!

I was a PS3 holdout myself for awhile. So after i waited until MGS4 dropped to 39 bucks and PS3 to 260 i finally added a bookcase-mate to my 360.

Sometime passes...I've beaten the so-called "must play" Killzone 2 and MGS4 and Drake's fortune 2 and my PS3 is starting to collect dust. So on a whim, i decide to pick up the LPB game I've been hearing so much about.

I was not disappointed.

Not only is it a great platforming game and its fun for the whole family blah blah, it lends itself to so much creativity. You will literally play the game for as long as you have creative ideas: be they for icons, graphics, clothing(pro-tip design stickers and put them on your character ;P),or levels.

Soooo yeah, get Little Big Planet, Game of the Year edition (so you get the paintball gun)

I really recommend Valkyria Chronicles. If you're into rpg's / semi-turnbased-strategy you'll like it.

Little Big Planet, you could even get it with the controller in a bundle. By far the biggest reason to have a PS3 until LBP2 comes out.

But, what games do you like playing on your 360?

Well I guess it depends on what you like.

The Metal Gear Solid series. Though the first game is a PS1 game and 2+3 are PS2 games. You can find "The Essentials Collection" which has 1 2 and 3 for $30 dollars. MGS4 also comes with Metal Gear Online which is fun.

I would also recommend Resistance 1 and 2.

God of War Collection - God of War 1 and 2 on the PS3 nuff said
God of War 3 - Epic just epic
Metal Gear Solid 4 - got it because I already have 1,2 and 3 its more my brothers thing, still a good game
Resistance: Fall of Man - Also just got yesterday, good sci-if/war shooter in my opinion better then Halo

as for DLC Games I have

Mortal Kombat 2 - Almost perfect arcade port
Scott Pilgrim V.S. the World - Fun retro style arcade beat-um-up

I also Have a few downloaded PS1 game

Games I Had/Borrowed/didn't care for

Bayonetta - I just didn't like it, I have my reasons

Valkyria Chronicles is the only significant gameplay experience you can get on the PS3 that doesn't have an equivalent or better on the 360.

In a world without MGS4 and LBP and Echochrome and Flower and.... well a bunch of others that might have a chance of being true.

Pixeljunk Eden.
Flower.
Everything else I'd list as "must buy" has been mentioned.

If you're interested in third-person action, look up Infamous. It's mostly cover-based combat, but it's less "shooting" and more "blowing things up with super lightning powers" - also, there's a decent amount of freedom of movement in the world, which is nice, and the karma system which alters your powers and appearance in a manner reminiscent of Fable.

No, it's all about Xbox not having games now.
I lol'd so hard at the picture.

At anyrate, related to the topic,

I cant really present any PS3 only games i enjoyed.
I own all 3 consoles ((and a dreamcast. my favorite out of them)) and most the games i rent for my ps3 are multi-console.

If you listen to only two recommendations in this thread, let it be Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls. Two experiences that stand out like few other games this or the last generation can. Especially Demon's Soul, which is a game challenging for all the right reasons and as long as you are alert, you'll make it through. This is a game where if you die, it's because you messed up.

Infamous, a rather nice exclusive open city game where you get to play as a super human with electricity. Comic style all the way with good/evil choices to make.

For other great games. LittleBigPLanet for make your own platformer stages, soon LBP2 for make your own any type of game, and ModNation Racers for create your own race tracks. All fun with a lot of downloads of custom stages, many quite well done.

3D Dot Game Heroes is a throw back to the old NES open world adventure games a la Legend of Zelda or Golden Axe Warrior. Only here it's on top of amusing references to retro games, in 3D with pixels, and multiple swords that can do quite a bit. Even hitting people with a giant fish is practical.

Katamari Forever, if you missed out on the original two Katamari games on PS2. Roll things up, crazy, strange, addictive.

Critter Crunch, a rainbow vomit jewel of a puzzle (that's a compliment). It has everything from fast paced twitch action of Money Drop and Dr. Mario with clever puzzles you must think out and will test you quite well. Cheap title too.

Fat Princess and Castle Crashers are out that anyone can get into and play. Online multiplayer, strategy, and amusing style for both.

Joe Danger fun title to get for that time trial/high score type of game of old. Very easy to get into, very easy to control and explain. It's a gem.

Any of the PixelJunk games are fun and easy to get into.

Shatter is Breakout/Araknoid if the blocks fought back and tried to kill you. Lots of items, special blocks, boss fights makes this rather fun and clever. Though I would recommend getting this only on PSN if you can't get it on PC.

Seriously get Demon's Souls. It will make you remember what it felt like to beat a game boss and feel the joy of success of your gaming skills.

Demons Souls - one of my favorite action rpgs ever

Uncharted 2 - playing this again this week and man I forgot how great of a game it really is

Valkria Chronicles - very cool game if you can find it, I was able to find one at Toys R Us a few weeks ago for $25 (toys r us has good game sales!)

Ratchet and Clank - the last 2 are very good and very fun

3D Dot Game Heroes - another great RPG by Atlus and its a very old school 8-bit look... even tho I have been stuck in the flame temple for awhile now and not too excited to figure it out.

Infamous - everyone says its so good, Ive yet to pick it up but its at the stores new for $29

BlazBlue - one of the best fighters ive ever played.. 2d or 3d.

Little Big Planet - its real fun if you love platformers.. but since 2 is so close to coming out I wouldnt get this yet.

Heavy Rain - Murder Mystery game that asks for controller inputs to progress fights, movements and things like that. Its a playable movie if you will and I like it alot, its a fun and unique experience.

Off PSN - Joe Danger, Flower, Fat Princess, Castle Crashers, Shatter
