PS3 Sound Problem

Has anyone else had this?
I have mine hooked up via a HDMI cable. The sound was working earlier in the day and when I turned it on later, the sound didn't work. It didn't even work in the menus. I don't think it's the TV because the cable still had sound.

Any ideas?

Ummm... have you tried the old standby turn the power off and on? (For tv and ps3). Otherwise try the normal cable it came with, if you can get sound through that one then the problem is with the HDMI cable itself. If not then it's either the ps3 or the receiving socket for the sound cable (but seeing as sound is stereo and runs through two cables I'm guessing it is the ps3 or tv).

Go to your display settings in the ps3 menu, then select video output settings, HDMI, set audio settings.. HDMI.


If that doesn't work, I am going to guess TV problem.

it has actually started working again after JUST NOW testing it
guess it just needed some alone time
