Sorry if I post in the wrong forum, couldn't find a special one about consoles so I thought this will do.

Anyway, to the point, I've owned a 80 GB Ps3 for about 2-3 years, now I'm getting worried about the space, I have about 15-20 GB left, yeah yeah it's not full yet but I'm still going to get a new hard drive which have 500 GB and is supposed to be Ps3 compatible.

I know how to do the whole process but, I don't have a clue on what to make the backup copy of all the data on, sure I need a external hard drive but do I need a special kind? I'm not good with "computer" stuff and I really need some help if I don't gonna loose all my data.

So if you people know what I can make the backup on, please say the name of it and well, explain if I need something else or if I need to do something more, talk slowly because all the years of gaming have made me very stupid lol.

And btw, I did some counting and I noticed 15 GB have just vanished, if I still had my 40 GB I'd be screwed. Is that all updates and extra stuff?

(Just a little extra question, about Fallout New Vegas, will there be vehicles in it or not?^^)

I'm sure there's a site that will tell you exactly how to do it, but from what I know not owning a PS3 and all, copy your saves and profile to a thumbdrive, switch drives, format the new one so it has the PS3 OS and stuff all loaded up, load all your data onto the new drive. You'll still have to install the games and such unless you want to spend a long time doing that, but you should be good.

Well sure I can do that but I got alot of other stuff I don't want to remake, plus I got some copy protected save games which I can't copy to a thumbdrive
