PS3 + USB keyboard and USB mouse?

Does such a thing exist? Can I just whack my PC's keyboard and mouse into my PS3 to play FPS games? Playing an FPS on consoles feels sluggish and I realise there's a "getting-used-to" curve, but I still hate it.

Since MW:2 has no dedicated on PC, I'm inclined to get it on my PS3. If it is possible to hook up a keyboard/mouse, will it feel like it does on the PC? Quick, sensitive, and help me kick serious ass?

Thats a good question. I know you can hook up your keyboard, and i assume you can hook up your mouse seeing as theres an internet browser, but ive never thought about that.

You can use a keyboard and mouse on the PS3. It worked in UT3, but I don't know if MW2 itself allows for those controls.

Also, if you have a 360, I'd suggest you think about the game for that instead. It's multiplayer-heavy, and you'd be lying to yourself if you said the online infrastructure was better for the PS3 than 360.

If it's a PS3 only house...well I had COD4 for the PS3, and it was still really great, but I couldn't play with any of my friends.

I don't own a 360. Since there wont be any dedicated, does that actually mean there'll be basically no multiplayer for PC? Or can people still host games and stuff?

The only thing that's stopping me from getting it on PS3, is if the whole keyboard/mouse thing doesn't work and the multiplayer is frustrating. I know on Uncharted 2, the load times annoyed me to no end, and the time it took to "find other players" was atrocious. Sometimes I'd be waiting 5 minutes or more during peak hours.

Can't really say until the game comes out. I tried using my mouse/keyboard set up for the orange box to no avail. I could just be a schmuck though...

As someone else said. It worked with UT3 but i never played it with mouse and keyboard witch was a shame but i dunno if it's compatible with MW:2

It works for the games that support it and as far as i know that is only ut3

I'm not entirely convinced this is true but it would seem that the only way to get around this is to rely on third party hacks and whatnot. I did manage to get my 360 controller to work on my PS3 but ran into trouble with games like Killzone and anything else that believes the silly sixaxis controls ought to be used.

The 360 is requires far more work to use a keyboard and mouse on, but there are commercial devices that do the trick that aren't terribly expensive.
