So Escapist PS3 owners that own PS3's and are Escapists, have you got yourself VidZone?

For those not in the know, VidZone is basically a music channel on PS3 only (take that Xbots!), and I must say its pretty good in terms what a music videos channel that actually plays music videos, you know a bit like what MTV used to be.

There are some bad apple's as goes with radio and music TV but all in all its a good service and most of all its free, there are some adverts that replay every few songs but that is a necessary evil for it being free since the PS is so expensive.

I highly recommend it since its free, and free shit is good right?, oh and unlike Radio, you can fast forward if you don't like the song.

Don't understand what the hell I just said?*, well then I'll communicate via the medium of links!

*don't blame you guys and gals, I talk jibberish.

EDIT: I fully expect this thread to bomb

I don't, I see no need for it, as I can just use the laptop that sits beside me while I play games.

wow, how terribly exciting......in fact before the era where consoles are pseudo PCs, PCs (the hardware aspects such as laptops, netbooks and MP4/MP3 players so forth) could so this as well! Ok I know it may be hard for some people to understand but this is not a new thing.

* Full Screen: The music videos are displayed in a preview frame within the GUI, however full screen display is available through the "Select" button.
* Pay-per-download: Users are able to purchase related downloads including ringtones and MP3s and are also able to download some music videos to their hard drive. The availability of these downloads varies by video.
* Playlists: Make individual video playlists from any of the video catalogue, from 'recommended' or homepage featured playlists
as you can see (the information copied from wiki) I'm going to let the features speak for itself, if you have got a device that's has trouble connecting to the internet then this will be mind blowing.
I fully expect this thread to bomb
really? did you?...well it might not be bombed other than my *polite* explanation.

It's in the store. Videos I think, you may have to search for it.

I have it, haven't used it in a while though. It's quite good when they have videos of underground bands, it gets me into their music.

Yeah, I've used it a few times. It's good, I quite like it though my internet connection is just a tiny bit temperamental with it's speeds for the service to consistantly work smoothly. Hence, I don't use it much.

You wouldn't happen to have a North American account would you? I am not seeing anything but PAL according to the wiki.

Nah, I'm in Jolly England.

It's in other media > media > applications and services.

Wow, please tell me more, I'm intrigued, these "PC's" you speak of... could I (in theory of course) maybe chat with like minded individuals on a forum?

This new technology sounds terribly exciting.

Still I'm keeping my DVD player, you know for porn, its the only medium by which it exist of that I'm certain.

According the the greater internet its only available as a hack, but those articles are over a year old, things may have changed, especially since VidZone got boosted in the latest firmware upgrade!.

Yeah, it's pretty good. I just wish they'd update the older stuff a bit more often. Every week we get new pop music to listen to, instead of new good music. It makes up for it by having Mad Season and Desert Sessions, though I would love some Garbage or Mudhoney on there.

its unfortunate that you didn't reply to my later comment because I was waiting to reply to this, you need a good internet connection to use VidZone, it streams HD video via the means of wifi. Which is mindblowing.

You were obviously too busy trying to make a sarcastic comment to realise that VidZone needs a constant internet connection to run, much like Spotify and Youtube and other services.

I don't see much point, since I can just use Pandora from the PS3's internet. And I just download all my music for free from Youtube anyways.
