They all have their legacy.

Positive:
Nintendo: Characters and Series
Sony: Aesthetic Design and media compatibility
Microsoft: Online Features and Online Gameplay

Negative:
Nintendo: Re-releases, gimmicks, casualization
Sony: Rushed Console Development, Bad Network Infrastructure, backwards compatibility issues
Microsoft: Corporate manhandling, hardware issues, contribution to the DLC problem, backwards compatibility issues
=/........

Microsoft: Online Features and Online Gameplay

really..

thats what Microsofts legacy is?

Not Dos, Windows, or anything else that made them famous? xD

Anyway, I agree on you with the rest. And you might 'just' have meant consoles. But you gotta remember that PC's is the only place Microsofts legacy is at, their consoles are mediocre at best. Not saying their PC-Software is good, it's horrible. They've just been good at killing alternatives.

Yeah I only meant their influences to the console gaming market, I failed to specify that. If we're talking technology as a whole then the list would be much longer for all of three companies.

Microsoft has always been a PC Company foremost.
